By the time this fight comes off assuming they both stay undefeated Juanma will have Rafa and John on his resume and Gamboa would have Cruz and either Rojas or Cab on his this will be a superfight. This is just one of those fights that is guaranteed to be good much like a Kirkland Angulo match up.
i see how theyve allowed gamboa-lopez to build up

how anyone can hate on this fight is beyond me.....lopez is a 2 division champ and gamboa may be about to be a unified champ..how the **** are they prospects??Comment

Unproven prospects?I don't understand why people are hyping this fight as some sort of a blockbuster.
Its a fight between 2 unproven prospects. BAD material at best.
Same thing with Bradley/Alexander. These guys are barely out of diapers and think they deserve PPV billing or something.
smh...
They may not have beat everyone in the division but they sure as hell are proven as champions.
Im looking forward to a lopez-gamboa fight more then i would with manny-floyd.Comment

Absolutely not. John is always pulling out of fights with injuries and if they scheduled that, it would get postponed and it would give Lopez an excuse to fight a second rater. I don't think John is that good anyway. Gamboa and Lopez would both easily murk him. He almost got KOd by Juarez. So what if it's for the linear championship. Doesn't make it a good fight. John has lived off that gift win over JMM for ages now.Last edited by Iceta Lives; 08-23-2010, 08:48 PM.Comment

John isn't shit and I stand by that. Why is he fighting a cat with only one KO? Hell, an opponent like that is worse than what Lopez, Berto, and Khan fight put together. And a Gamboa-Lopez fight doesn't need to be built in my opinion. As much as I don't like Lopez, I'd be halfway willing to move the winner of the Rafa-Juan Ma fight to #1. And whoever beats the winner of that fight is the Ring champ.Comment
