people are quick to say roach but roach has never built a fighter from scratch and brought them to be world champ. i give it to nacho is the man who brings nobodys and builds them up to be world champ.

What about Manny Pacquiao? The guy had absolutely no amateur background, and was nothing more than a midget brawler who threw a bunch of wild punches.

That's because he has a poor chin and didn't use footwork. Prescott is also a big puncher. I'll give Roach credit for improving his defense and footwork, but he was already a decent fighter with a great amateur background before Roach got a hold of him. Manny Pacquiao on the other hand is a different story. Hell, Bobby-Manny would have been a competitive fight at that point lol ok maybe he wasn't THAT bad.

I agree Roach is not that great he has not brought up anybody from the ground up yet to be world champs Im very picky when i voted in this poll I go by who has this trainer created from the ground up and i go on from there. there are very few trainers in this day in age who take the time to work with nobody's but go with fighters who have all ready been tested and Roach is one of these trainers not saying its a bad thing but that is just my take on this

Pac made the Philippines’ national amateur team and had 64 amateur fights (60-4)
