What we are getting now from Manny is just a bonus. He already sealed his name in the feathers and Lights by beating greats like Barrera, Morales and Marquez.

I think his recent work was MUCH more impressive. The only impressive win out of all of the ones you mentioned was the first Barrera fight, and even that wasn't the greatest accomplishment in the world because Jones did it twice before him. The second Barrera fight was pointless when guys like Guzman and Valero were available, Morales was past it during all three fights, plus he beat Manny in one of those fights and Marquez arguably beat him too. Well I guess you can say the Marquez fights are impressive because he gave him the fight of his life. But still, wins over Hatton, Cotto and Clottey are more impressive than that because NOBODY can do to them what he did. But you can't say that about his featherweight wins. Barrera did just as good against Marquez as he did, Jones beat up a better version of Barrera and Raheem beat Morales up in a weight class he was more comfortable in.

I won't give him a break, people act as though he could make the 135lb division. He gets praise for fighting at 147lbs, he will get props if he beats Margarito at 150lbs I just won't recognise him as the champ, the same way I only see him as a paper champ at 147lbs.

You're also wrong saying this is his first fight at catchweight, it's just worse this time because the fight is closer to the Welterweight limit than the Jr Middleweight limit.

Honestly, i didn't think Manny would be dominant at 147, i just didnt think he would be comfortable, but he showed he was and he showed size is not an issue at that weight and he can still carry his power and strength along with his speed, 147 is the best divison for him right now with his tools.

That being said at the same time i still believe if you want to be known as the Champ at a weight class you have to do it at the weight.

Pac is fighting now at the weight where it should be a miracle for him to even compete yet he is the dominating those giants like a sparring partner. Pac was just too good that he can dominate 2-3 weight class above his natural weight class.

You mean like the other 90% of boxers. Face it, this day and age with 24 advanced weigh-ins people are going to cut as much weight as they can. Everybody does it save for a very few.
