Cortez did a poor performance, but to think a good ref would have change the outcome of the fight, you need to be a total ******ed or somebody that doesnt know **** about boxing.

Cortez actually let them fight on the inside a couple of times, and Floyd was the best, so its not like if Hatton wasnt allow to fight a type a fight he could have dominated.

I didn't know you were allowed to put fighters in the headlock and hug them after landing a shot. Get a life...Nothing would have stopped Hatton from running into right hands all night, and he was getting beat on the inside too. So if anything Cortez was doing him a favor. Maybe he was a little too cautious, but come on, Hatton got dominated. Get over yourselves...

I suppose the referee pulling Hatton off of Pacquiao when he got inside also changed the outcome? lol I do remember some idiot trying to say that a while ago. Well guess what, you guys are no better than that idiot.

Hatton is a dirty fighter and Mayweather clearly was a step above Hatton & would have Ud'd him regardless but that doesn't change the fact Cortez created some seriously biased home cooking which in undeniable..............

What a load of bollocks, Hatton was taking punishment to get inside and when he got inside he was elbowed and then split up by the ref, so he takes more punishment to get back inside and the same **** happens over and over, that would take something out of any fighter. Cortez made it an easier night than it should have been for Mayweather.

But when he got inside, he was getting beat up. That's it. And let's not act like Floyd was elbowing him for no reason. He was getting pushed, grabbed, put in the headlock, hit with combinations on the back of his head, etc. Hatton was fighting very dirty that night. He even said it himself that the elbowing was a way of getting payback.

Plus whether Cortez was doing a bad job or not, Hatton was running into right hand leads all night. I don't care how much he was able to get inside. That doesn't change the fact that he was running into right hands and the one in round 10 finished him off. I suppose the referee in Pacquiao-Hatton (who also wouldn't let Hatton get inside) also changed that outcome? lol

It's amazing how former Hatton diehards complain about what Cortez did, yet at the same time make these silly little videos of Floyd using dirty tactics.

They want it both ways when anybody rational knows that Floyd's forearm tactics were a direct result of Hatton's roughhousing on the inside. Yes Cortez broke some of it up but not all and Floyd retaliated to keep Hatton's head from uppercutting his chin every 5 seconds.

Mayweather was way more dirty than Hatton, Mayweather was doing most of the holding, using the elbow and ducking below the waist at every opportunity, Hatton got a point deducted for hitting behind the head (didn't even land) but Mayweather did the same when Hatton's back was turned and only got a verbal.

Hatton was the one who wanted to fight on the inside. Cortez didnt want ANY infighting.

Could have been a good fight.

I mean I am 100% onboard with Hatton being a rough boxer with dirty fighting but man Cortez was clearly just out to prevent Hatton doing **** lol.
Well, Floyd did have a word with the ref before the fight asking the ref to help him win the fight. He said watch out for hattons dirty tactics and pretend not to see Floyds elbows.
