    Alexander is ducking Bradley now.

Read the site where they hype fights. Not happy with the money split. I swear 140 has nothing but a bunch of candy ass ****s who just want to talk **** but never produce any results.

It appears as though the proposed January 29 jr. welterweight title unification between WBC & IBF champion Devon Alexander and WBO champion Timothy Bradley is in serious jeopardy. Despite the fact that promoters Don King and Gary Shaw agreed to a 50/50 split of the total pot being offered by HBO, the camp of at least one of the fighters, Devon Alexander, is not happy at all with the dollar signs they were presented with. "I don't think this thing gets done," remarked Alexander's manager and trainer, Kevin Cunningham, when asked what the current status was regarding negotiations for the bout.

There's no denying that a unification bout between two undefeated fighters with three titles on the line is far more appealing than a number of other fights that HBO has grossly overpaid for and his been willing to support. When it comes to Cunningham, you never have to read between the lines, so it's clear that he thinks the offer from HBO was far too low for a bout that he and several others consider to be the second biggest fight that can be made in the sport. Unless there's a substantial increase in the offer that's already on the table, it sounds like both Alexander and Bradley will have to go their separate ways until all parties involved come to an agreement on just how big of a fight this really is.
This is f**kin bulls**t. I knew something was gonna happen once Cunningham made that article saying they don't need Bradley, and then the last we heard was that they were waiting for the fighters to sign...And this is the same Alexander who accused Bradley of b**ching about money...He just lost the rest of the fans he had left (including myself).

Well at least this means Bradley is open to fight Amir Khan or Victor Ortiz is December. Those are the fights I wanna see. Ortiz is ranked #1 by the WBO since he took Campbell's spot, so that seems logical. And the Bradley-Khan winner walks out with two titles and Alexander is free to unify all of them when he's good and ready.

i can remember countless interviews with alexander or cunningham about how they didn't care about the money they just wanted to get bradley in the ring. oops now what! they realize they can swindle the people of st louis into coming to any fight alexander has. the mayweather effect has taken its toll.

I don't know if the 50-50 split is what Alexander is complaining about rather than the fact HBO may not be offering a sum of money that they think the fight is worth. But Alexander looks like a punk right about now. And here everybody bashed Bradley for ducking him.

Guys like Khan, Berto, Lopez, Bute probably get paid more to fight mismatches. But that's life. Guys like Bradley and Alexander need to realize that nothing is gonna be given to them and they gotta fight for it. Their stock isn't gonna raise by fighting the Arbegus and the Kotelniks. The luster of this fight is only gonna decrease from this point. But I definitely put the blame on Devon for this fight not happening.

What really bugs me about this is that Team Alexander has the attitude that they don't need Bradley, and now he's complaining about money after accusing Bradley of ducking for wanting money? If this fight doesn't happen, I bet Bradley could easily secure a fight with Maidana, Khan, Guzman, Judah or Ortiz. But where is Alexander gonna go? King hates Judah and GBP refuses to acknowledge his presence (which eliminates Maidana, Khan and Ortiz). So that leaves him with what, Mabuza, Peterson and Guzman? This fight is his chance to prove that he's not overrated, and that last fight was just a bad night or a horrible style for him...And who the hell doesn't wanna walk out with not just one or two, but THREE belts?
