no....i was actually trying to dispute 2 points u made.

1st you said mayweather has been the best for years. Ehh...the only reason mayweather was elevated to #1p4p was because hopkins came out on the wrong end of 2 fights with taylor that were just as close and controversial as the 2 pac vs marquez fights y'all hold against pacquiao so much.

2nd u said if pac wants to be called the best then he should fight mayweather. but u could just as easily make the same statement flipping the 2 names. at the end of they they're still not fighting each other so **** em both.

im just saying that mayweathers been on top for a much longer time then pacquiao. and by saying on top i not necessarily mean the p4p 1. he's always been a top boxer in his weight classes. anyways i hope this fight will happen and the winner will have the right to call himself the better fighter

Pac has more world titles.
Has travelled up in weight more.
Both have very good resumes.
Pac has more fighter of the year.
Pac is fighter of the decade.
Pac probably has the best PPV record for any asian ever, and maybe even non US fighter.
Pac has a diamond belt so there!

Don't get me wrong, Floyd is a great, and if he didn't retire so foten, he could have surpassed Pac, but he chose to retire so it's his own fault.

Barrera at 126 #3 p4p at 130lbs #4 p4p because of controversial marquez loss

Morales 2nd fight #3 p4p despite raheem loss. 3rd fight #5p4p because marquez elevated from #8 to #3

Marquez at 130 #3 p4p behind only mayweather and pacquiao.

trust me i know. its called revisionist history. pacquiao has fought more true, rightfully classified hall of fame fighters than floyd. pacquiao is more decorated than floyd. pacquiao trumps floyd in terms of boxing awards & decorations.

i made a thread about how all negative things written about pac are done by ignorant highschool dropout corner kids while almost all articles written by professional sports writers whose opinion matter have been positive about pac.

fighter of the decade is just the cherry on top. just think about it. pac's welter resume almost rivals floyd yet floyd started at 130 & has been a welter since 2005 while pac was fighting at 130 as recently as 2008.

the fact that floyd is american & pac is non english speaking lower weight fighter from a third world backwoods jungle just tells you how much floyd fell off & how high pac has risen.

I agree Floyd and Pac are both greats and have very close resumes.

I use to think Pac had better, but on closer look, it's very close because Pac has many rematches.

We are all entitled to our opinion because something like this is hard to judge because there's a lot of factors out there.

If we're not talking about p4p rankings then that statement is absolutely false.

Pacquiao and Mayweather won their 1st world titles within 2 months of each other. While pacquiao lost his next fight and title because his body outgrew the weight division.....he's been a top boxer in each weight class he's ever entered.

To say mayweather's been on top for a MUCH longer time than pacquiao just because MUCH less people even knew he existed is absolutely false.
