My logic is that Michalczewski was the champion and Jones was not. Hence Jones was not even the best Lt Heavy of his era. It is really quite fact of the matter. I dont how this can cause any confusion.

Unless you count the IBO title for more than the Ring Magazine and Linear titles. Michalczewski being the champion, the burden of concessions would have been on Jones. If Roy Jones actually fought for the purpose to attain greatness he would have fought Michalczewski on the champion's terms.

Roy Jones never had a single pro fight outside the United States. Michalczewski fought in Germany, Poland, and Portugal. Most great fighters of the past left the United States to fight. Ali fought in the Phillipines, Switzerland. Tyson fought frequently in Japan, he fought in Denmark, not that Tyson was a great fighter. But Jones excuse of not wanting fight except in the US is very lame.

Once again, using the same argument for the 2 fighters but one is knocking while the other is praising. Dariusz virtually never fought outside of Germany and RJJ only fought in the USA. They're both bitches for not choosing to fight. I see your point in a slightly different light I suppose.

Not even close, Foster, Spinks, moore, Holyfield, and even Tunney all would have knocked Jones senseless had they landed a punch on him. And when you fight fighters that are that high caliber, they will eventually land something on you! This isn't one of those "fights" that Jones was famous for having, you know the ones with the guys that worked full-time jobs and then boxed.

This the exact word that needs to be used when debating guys from different eras ..... accomplishments. Spinks hands down over RJJ.

Ezzard Charles is the best Light Heavy ever IMO. I would say Spinks is right up there as well.

Jones is not in my top five

USA is tha hotbed for boxing....if you don't go there then your a *****..
