I see alot of comments here where its quite obvious people read the article with emotions attached, especially the Black fans.
It seems he isn't talking about ring style per se, but more so the willingness to face the best despite the risk involved.
But as always when race is mentioned, people get too hot to fully comprehend whats actually going on.Comment

Dougie is not "on point". He's ignorant. Different fighters have different styles and it has nothing to do with race. How can you in one sentence say there are no African American "warriors" and then mention Paul Williams and James Kirkland? That whole "warrior" **** is ******. Anybody that gets in that ring is taking a risk and some four eyed, buck toothed, ***ot like Dougie Fischer is in no position to say who is a warrior and who isn't. He's also full of contradictions. In one sentence he says there have been no black fighters involved in "fight of the year" fights since Bowe-Holyfield and then names several of them. *** Dougie Fisher. And no fighter "likes" to get hit. That's a ****** concept.Comment

I find the polls funny considering Miguel Cotto whose Puerto Rican quit in his fight with Margarito,Kostya Tzu quit against Hatton,But when Floyd fought Hatton he took numerous punches from the back of the head and still kept on fighting on and Ko`ed him,Victor Ortiz quit in his fight last year,Vitali quit over a shoulder Problems with his fight with Chris Byrd.Cintron quit against Margarito and Paul Williams
Calzage ducked Glen Johnson and numerous other fighters for years,Pacquiao ducked:Zahir Raheem,Mosley,Nate Campbell and Cassamayor
Valuev still hav`nt fought the Klitschko`s and he`s way bigger then them.
Bute does not want a piece of Hopkins And there are other cases i hav`nt mentioned.
But nobody ever says"Latino Asian or white fighters don`t have as much heart as they use to or are not as much warriors as they use to.
Floyd Mayweather fought Jose Luis Castillo with Hurt Shoulders Floyd could have quit the fight and said my shoulders is messed up but he steal fought on.In the first fight he won a fight many felt he lost. What did he do?he gave him a rematch.Chad Dawson won a fight against Glen Johnson in a fight many though he lost,He gave Glen a rematch.
Roy Jones fought Tarver while he was weight drained. He could have just given up but he still fought on.
Shane Mosley got dropped 3 times by Forrest and he still kept trying to fighting on.
Jones jumped 2 weight classes to take on Ruiz and most boxing "experts" including Dougie Fisher picked Ruiz to win. After Jones beat him all of a sudden Ruiz is a bum.
I don`t even have to mention Paul Willaims,Kirk Frankland,Pascal, and many others.
Yet these showcases of heart by black fighters go unnoticed.Comment
