Manny has consistently fought the elite fighters of the sport/around his weight class and has constantly challenged himself. This is what his fans refer to when they say he fights the best.
FWIW Margarito at 150 is no scrub. Most wish he was because they will do anything to discredit an opponent of Manny.
If you come in to the debate from the position that people question margarito because they will discredit Manny's opponent that makes it hard to see someone's point.
As for this discussion, I'm holding Manny to the same standard his fans hold floyd. If FLOYD says he is the best, he must fight the best. If Manny fans say Manny is the best, he must do the same. In this context, A Novemeber fight with Marg does not meet this standard. A fight with Pwill or Bradley, does.

Would love to hear Manny get on camera and state:
"To all the media thank you for coming and to all my fans all over the world, I have decided that fighting Margarito would not be right nor good for the sport of boxing and for the fans who pay to watch it.
I have contacted my promoter Bob Arum to let him know of my decision that rather than fight someone who has been denied his boxing license due to improprieties committed and deemed unworthy for reinstatement by the CSAC, I choose instead to prove to all my fans and to the world that I am committed and in favor of keeping the sport I love, the sport of boxing, safe and clean for everyone involved.
It is my wish now to submit to random drug testing along with Floyd Mayweather to prove that I am the best and clean fighter with nothing to hide, and to help bring the sport to another level of fairness and equality for everyone.
Thank you all. Mabuhay Filipinos!"
