First of all I also don't agree that the title should be put on the line if the fight is at 150lbs. Other than that, who could ever dream that Pacquiao would be fighting guys above 147 anyway. PAC is just that good. You talk about Cotto beating a real 154lbs fighter but when Arum was talking about feeding him to PAC, everybody was yelling he's no good for Pac also. No one is good enough for PAC except Mr. Vacation.

nothing guaranteed, if pac wants 22.5m plus ppv sales, that means in reality the other guy will want to earn about 10m at least fighting pac as it will be a 60-40 or 70-30 split if pushing it.

You will need pac to fight someone who he can generate 1m ppv buys, top rank needs about that many buys badly as I would think around 800-900k would cover pacs purse, the guy he is fighting, hbo cut and everything else....

williams has been promoted crap, he hardly has any fans, thats the problem, he is a good fighter but what happens if only 700k or 800k buy the fight? top rank will either make millions in losses or just about break even

It isnt legit. How are fighting for a WBC belt when pac has never fought at 154 and margarito doesnt deserve a title. It is obvious this fight is only being made to make pacquiao an 8 division champ.

Because he shouldn't even be fighting guys at 154. He should be fighting guys at 140 but no one want to see Pac fight at 140 anymore.

Conclusion this fight is the easiest way for pacquie to become that 8 division champ. all he cares about is that it will look good on paper
