Its doesn't only happen in the US. If you are caught up in the whole US vs Europe bull**** then you must be believing that. But in reality it happens everywhere. Kotelnik should have won against Alexander. And Dirrell v Froch was a disgrace as well.

Great article. Russ Anber always speaks the truth. I'm still pissed off about Kotelnik getting robbed.

I agree with the article, but it works both ways. This is why when it happens I usually rank a fighter very high. Like when Tim Bradley was able to go over to England and beat Junior Witter. A win like that really puts your foot in the door. It's very hard to win a fight in an opponents home country.

Winning in a foreign city than your own is difficult.

Winning in a different country, no matter what country it is, is a colossal task.

You must be kidding, Dirrell was running the entire time and turning the back of his head and wouldn't engage at all, it was ugly. Kotelnik was doing the pursuing and had by far the harder and more accurate shots, unlike Alexander, who would hit air or Kotelnik's gloves. That fight was a robbery straight up, and not the first time a St. Louis fighter fightingh in St. Louis robbed an Eastern European - Spinks vs Karamazin.

Koltelnik fought really well and I thought lost a close fight, even though I thought he beat Devon's a$$. I can completely understand why you could feel he was robbed. But you have to remember something. If you dominate a round, and there. If you win a round close and there is no knockdown or if you dominate and ther is no knockdown, then its a 10-9 round.

Koltenik won his 5 rounds convincingly. I thought Devon won 4 of 7 rds very close.

I've seen dozens of robberies and LOTS of crooked refereeing in the USA. I consider the US to be one of the WORST places for a foreign boxer to fight.

For every ONE bad decision in Germany, there's about TEN in the US. I've seen some gift decisions in Germany, but no blatent robberies. Valuev-Holyfield was actually a close fight, if you watch it with Al Bernstein's RIDICULOUSLY BIASED commentary turned off.

Turkey is very bad too. Selcuk Aydin-Jo Jo Dan was worse than anything I've seen in Germany, but on the same level as several such as Casamayor-Santa Cruz in the US.
