why did andre berto turn down the shane mosley fight?

The way I understood it is he turned down 60/40 in Mosley's favor and demanded 50/50 witch he didn't get. 40% against Mosley would have been less than the Quintana fight.

He turned down 40%.

HBO really over payed him for the Quintana fight.

it just doesnt make any sense to me mosley is obviousley past it but he is still a name and would have gotten him the exposure he needed and he would have made good money now look at his situation hes stuck with trying to fight lower weight class guys and hell be criticsized heavily for it just doesnt make sense and why wouldnt hbo force berto to take the fight they could have told him he wouldnt be on hbo this year unless he fought mosley

As part of the deal to get Berto to step aside to allow floyd and mosley to fight, HBO and GBP gave Berto $3 mil. With this money in his pocket he really can afford to play hardball with Mosley.

After Mosley lost to Mayweather talks started up for Berto to fight Mosley again, but because of how ridiculously HBO overpaid Berto for the fight against Quintana, they couldn't afford the numbers Berto or Mosley would want to fight each other.

Are you serious? If you are talking about the fight they were supposed to have this past January, where have you been hiding? Berto is Haitian, the massive earthquake that struck Haiti killed some of Andre Berto's family members just a few weeks before the fight was supposed to take place. He did the right thing and pulled out, and then he was paid to step aside and not take the fight at a later date so Floyd and Shane could fight.

Pretty sure TS means after Mosley lost to Mayweather, when HBO was trying to get Berto and Mosley to fight later this year. HBO couldn't put up the money Berto wanted. He would have made less than he did against Quintana.
