Bute vs Pascal would be a bit awkward to make as Bute has a fight lined up in 2months time so the fight would not take place for something like 6months, unless Bute cancelled his next fight.

Bute should cancel his next fight, pay some step-aside money to jesse brinkley. Who wants to see that fight anyways?

Pascal seems like a cool dude....can't see why ANYBODY would or could hate the man.....he's EARNED his spot...noone PUT him there....props to him for even entertaining the thought of fighting the MASTER(B.Hop)....make it happen!!

i agree, i think bhop, although even slowed down and older, still has the boxing

iq to beat pascal.

pascal will not be able to score points and stay away winning rounds like he

did a green dawson.

bhop is too smart for that.

if pavliks 3 mins of punching per round can be negated with a 12-0 shutout for bhop,

then pascals flurry every 45 seconds can be negated as well


this is a great matchup, bhop has a granite beard and can not be hurt.

pascals conditioning is a concern as well, he seemed gassed many times and early during that fight.

Stamina,B-hop slows down fighters,styles make fights!!Pascal's stamina wasn't great & I don't think he has the mind set of Calzaghe to simply throw until the final bell!!Funny thing though Pascal would easily beat a volume puncher because he knows what to expect!!B-Hops angles & movement coupled with his boxing IQ,is off the charts!!!

I respect Hopkins' accomplishments and reputation, but he is done as a fighter. There is no need for this fight. In his prime, he would have an easy time with Pascal. But at 45,Pascal's speed and flurries will be too much for the aging lion.Its one thing to beat up a slow fisted flat footed Pavlik and another to face a fighter with blazing speed and good movement.It was Pascal's speed that threw Dawson's whole fight plan off.It made Dawson respect him and focus more on defense. Well you could see that Hopkins was intimidated by the speed of an old Roy Jones in their last fight. What could he possibly do with this type of athlete at this stage of his career?

Bute is super talented, but if you look at his list of opponents, you will see a trend. His promoter appears to be playing it safe with him for some reason. I really want to see the Bute/Pascal fight. That would rejuvenate the sport here in Canada.

Got to say you are right about Bute..But also have to say that's all these new guy's in the sport right now.TBH look at who Ward has fought..I see the same trend..

If Hopkins takes this fight with Pascal then he is smart, but also a *****. It's a much more winnable fight for him than someone like Dawson so he would be smart to accept it, but at the same time Dawson has been calling him out for a while he wanted none of it.

All is well my dude hope the same for you and yours..I have to agree with ya post brother.B-Hop has always been a master boxer and is a master boxer.At his age he is not gonna be what he use to be but I think he beats Pascal..He would have more trouble with Dawson IMO.Pascal gets tired(He also tired in his fight with Froch)and B-Hop would not let him dictate the fight like he did with Dawson..I like Pascal and I'm happy he won his last fight..But I don't see him beating B-Hop or Dawson in a rematch..
