He isn't the next big thing...he's just another good boxer...not great.
Actually, at 40, Hopkins is in his PRIME. It's funny how everyone said Hopkins would win easily and when Taylor wins a SD, they talk about how Taylor is overrated, etc. I actually had it scored 115-113 UD for Taylor. I think Taylor should appeal to the commission about that 116-112 scorecard in favor of Hopkins. That's 8 rounds to 4 for Hopkins!! If Hopkins won 8 rounds of that fight, I would admit it, but there's no way in hell that happened. Hopkins lost, please get over it.

Also, Taylor may not be great(he's only 26 remember?) but people sure do praise Hopkins for his greatness. Why? Because he defended for 12 years against guys not even in Taylor's league? Because he has the ferocity to give us some of the most boring middleweight fights in 20 years? I don't get it. Taylor is the best he's fought since Roy Joens and it showed.

Oh, and thank you for allowing me the honor of being the first person with negative reading comprehension.

im sayin tis plain and simple. Why does Beranrd have to be dirty? I know it aint the worst, but goddman, try to beat Tayler WIT SKILLS, NOT DIRTY TRICKS. that's one of ta reason Hopkins got sum haters around the werld. It's bad enough that he got a legacy by beatin small fightas, but he is puttin himself in a worse spot by cheatin in fights aswell. ****, why do sum people like him? No logic at likin him at all. nyhahahahaha. Unless sum guys here are Hopkins-Obsess, nyhahahahahahaha.............HA!

In terms of strategy and boxing skills he's in his prime, but you can't say he's in a better physical condition now than he was 5 years ago. I am curious about the 116-112 scorecard, since I couldn't see it going past 116-113 for Hopkins.

Bernard doesn't have to do anything except stay black and die. He chooses to fight slightly dirtier than most because he can. In most sports people find ways to bend rules in their favor, boxing is no different. If Hopkins really used dirty tricks, he would've decked Taylor at least once when he turned his back to him.

Jermain says he feels like he did enough to win, but he's openly critical of his own performance. The champion says he will correct those faults. "I learned so much," he stated. "Next fight it's not even going to be close....I give this man no respect at all, because I know in the rematch it will be different. I know I can beat him."

Bending the rules and cheating are two large things. That's why there's a ref, so he can determine which is which. This is why he gives warnings and keeps the fight in order. No points were deducted and no time was taken to allow a figher time after a low blow. Relatively clean fight. Cheating in real life? Relationships, guilty as charged.

I think you are overstating how dirty he was in the fight. You want a dirty Hopkins fight then watch him against Echols.

Jermain Taylor was holding plenty of times himself and hit Hopkins behind the head in one round.

I hate to admit it, your sig is right. I've gone 0-2 in my last two big time fights and my predictions are aren't coming through. ****in Ouma and Hopkins.
