Do you mean like the main, LINEAL true champ? If so, no he is not. That claim is vacant.

Zsolt Erdei was the last lineal champ at light heavy.

          So it means bunk.

And Zsolt isn't a bad fighter really. He just never fought anyone great.

We as boxing fans normally dont go by rankings alot of the time and this is one instance. Cal beat Hop, Cal retired, Hop should be the man.

Yea it means bunk. The lineal champ doesn't mean the best fighter in the division.

However, the TS is claiming that Hopkins is THEEEE champ, as in lineal champ at 175. And, I am correcting the TS in the fact is Hopkins is not and was never theeeeeee(lineal) champ.

Same goes for Calzaghe he was never theeeeeee(lineal) champ at 175.

                  THis isn't Hopkins hate.

                  But lets be realistic here...

The last actual light heavyweight he beat that meant anything was Tarver in 06...

That is 4... and a half... years ago.

Then he beat Winky Wright.... at 170 pounds.

                  Lost to Calzaghe (a SMW)

Then fought Pavlik........... at 170 pounds,

                  Then fought Rico Suave Ornelas...

then a Prime Roy Jones Jr...

Like I said, I'm not hating on the man, he's 45 years old... but he's not the champion.

Jean Pascal is the champ of the division to me, for now.
