    did the headbutt effect taylor

that horrendous three inch gash to the bone from the accidental headbutt taylor suffered had to effect his performance. 15 stitches.

you have to give him credit. he handled it a lot better then most more expierienced fighters would of.

hopkins started to get his way after that. but taylor stayed with him.

i figure the outcome would have been more in taylors favor if that butt didnt happen.

I agree...people say he wore himself out early, but hell, the man had a concussion and he stayed in there.

It was an unintentional headbutt that caused it. If you actually watched the fight you would have seen that. People who haven't seen the fight should really stop talking as if they had seen them.

That probably played a part of it, but his punch output was really high throughout the fight. The outcome would probably have been similar. Either way, we can't tell, and, sadly, he still got the W.

I watched that part of the fight over and over and you can't tell me for sure that it was unintentional. Or at the very least, when the heads clashed you can't say that Hopkins didn't press down a little harder than he needed to.

It was Taylor who led with his head, but I still think it was an accident. But give the man some credit, you know it had to hurt like hell the rest of the way.

I think the headbut was intentional and it had a major impact on the fight. It is what probably causes Taylor to have the concussion.

Taylor's output and missing so many wide big punches had more of an effect.

That headbutt did not look intentional. Taylor tired himself out by missing A LOT of punches. I'm sure the head collision affected him as well.

Yes it had a big affect, Taylor lost alot of blood because of it. That is the biggest reason he ran out of gas. With all this he still won 7 round & Hopkins won the last 3.
