theyre defensive styles are VERY similiar, when comparing the shoulder roll stance.

and what about Wilfredo Benitez? Whitaker? Toney? they all had bad damage in their career. Then look at someone like Chuvalo who got hit constantly and yet speaks completely fine.
and what about Duran, who people consider a 'brawler' a lot of the time? He was still fighting a top 5 Middleweights at 46 and winning, and as far as I know has little no lasting damage.

the best two fighters of all time, Robinson and Armstrong, were offensive based fighters(especially Armstrong).
no 'style' is better than another, its how you can effectively use it that matters.
So this thread is about who has brain damage from boxing when the whole object of the sport is to inflict as much damage to your opponent as possible...preferbly the brain

Floyd is slicker then Pep when it came to offensive skills but Pep had better defense.

Yeah Pep had nowhere near the pop Floyd has even though Floyd isn't a massive puncher either. But Im just trying to make the point that no you do not have to be black to be slick.

Chad Dawson outworked by Jean Pascal

Zab Judah beaten by slow plodders Kostya tsyu and Carlos Baldomir

Roy Jones jr beaten by southpaw Antonio Tarver

Pernell Whitaker stretched to the limit by come forward Julio Cesar Chavez.

And even Floyd Mayweather himself arguably beaten by 1dimensional Jose luis Castillo.
              1. theres such a thing as a slick style, it has nothing to do with being black or being american. more often than not african americans are slick fighters, but its not a black thing or an american thing.

              2. nobody said having a slick style is superior to other styles, just that certain fighters cant handle it. just like some fighters cant handle pressure and others cant handle southpaws.

              3. your examples are extremely ignorant and dont prove anything, even if u had a point to begin with. first of u can come to any conclusion u want bringing up random fights through the entire history of the sport, and the ones u chose dont make any sense anyways. whitaker beat chavez pretty big, floyd fought castillo with one arm and dominated him in the rematch when he was 100%, pascal is just as slick as dawson, roy jones was past his prime, zab underestimated baldomir and just got caught against kostya whos a huge puncher (and a superior fighter overall anyways).

I was talking about offensive skills not how hard you punch.

And no one said you have to be black to be slick except for idiots ?Its just that on Average black fighters fight in more of a slick style then other groups. And i`m not saying all black fighters fight in a slick style either cause most don`t.

Please show me where you collected these statistics of how many black fighters fight a "slick" style vs other ethnic groups? I would love to see these studies and what doctor put the study together?
