If Arreola is so out of shape...

How did he manage to throw the 3rd most punches in the history of a HW fight (counted by compubox)???

have you kats ever punched for 3 minutes on 1 min off 12x at a rate of 85+??? that sheeet is hard! Arreola threw 988 total punches, #3 all time for heavyweights in CompuBox’s 25-yr history that's an average of 83 punches per round.....and in the 12th he threw his highest per round (101 punches) landing 36%

IMO you gotta be in pretty damn good shape to do that.....

History of compubox, not history of HW fights. I don't know when they released compubox but all the HW fights before were not accurately measured.

his last fight against Quezada. Amazing, right?

Its mostly because Arreola 1. Doesnt mind gassing out and never holds back and 2. Will continue to throw punches even when there is no power on them. and also 3. because his opponent was the kind that is always in your range, you have no reason NOT to throw

I dont ever question his heart and determination in the ring...but he certainly doesnt have that during training. a real shame.

You must not have seen the fight then, blackirish hit the nail on the head. Almost none of those punches had any heat on them and Queazada was the most stationary fighter I have ever seen, he just stood in front of Arreola the entire fight. Atlas said that they are both there in front each other to be hit and that he has never seen more stationary fighters (paraphrasing, but he said something to this extent). It's like you hitting a heavybag at the gym, it doesn't mean much. It's like when they had the 24/7 episode where Floyd was doing these little-pitty pat punches on the heavy bag and they were claiming he has the fastest hands alive.

Arreola couldn't finish a stationary journeyman who was kind of fat himself after he knocked him down 3 times, he is out of shape, if he was in shape, he would have KOd him.

When you have fat rolls, you can never claim to be in shape. Arreola is officially classified as obese. He turned up at 256 AFTER training camp, 6 pounds heavier than he was for Adamek.
