He does a few things that is very weird to me.
#1 - When he throws his right hand, he lifts his elbow real high, causing him to throw it at a downward angle. That does a couple of things, it makes it slower to land because by lifting the elbow you are telegraphing the punch and it also forces you not to "turn" the punch to connect with the first two knuckles.
In doing that he's landing it sideways almost.
#2 - His jab is thrown from the middle of his chest almost. It's not coming from his chin and therefore losing effectiveness and quickness. He pushes with it and for a guy his size, you would think he can hurt people with a jab but he paws with it.
I worked with Odlanier Solis in the past, got to watch him train at my gym and his left jab is like a missile and sounds like a firecracker when it hits the pads.
