Bernard Hopkins would be an excellent HBO commentator one day

I see this guy on ESPN and his insight is great, hes one of the most intelligent fighters and businessmen this sport has ever seen who knows boxing inside out.

He still has all faculties and provides great insight and predicitions when talking, he doesn't come across as a deer caught in the headlights like Lennox did sometimes and I feel with experience, he would be a great commentator someday at HBO.

I will miss the bastard when hes gone, I enjoy seeing him at weigh ins trying to get as much camera time as possible and he was the architect of the Mayweather-Mosley post fight 'almost brawl', he always speaks his mind and doesn't give a fuck.

What do you guys think? Hopkins at HBO one day?

I love Hopkins. He seems to speak a lot better than most infront of a camera, and is very clear, and gives great insight. His speaking abilities surpass those of Emmanual, that is for sure.

I knew you'd post in here Bully.

Emmanuel is too stubborn IMO, he says something like "Fighter A will KO fighter B" and when it doesn't happen he totally ditches his prediction and says he knew fighter B would win from the start.

Hopkins would be less biased I think and has the best insight, since hes such a smart fighter.

He'll see things before they happen.

I don't need him spewing Ignorant crap while I'm watching a fight.

          I prefer RJJ.

              See, thats the thing.

He doesn't drag on and on when in the studio, hes very professional when there and stays on topic and is straight to the point.

Hopkins has a Great Boxing Brain.

He will make a great analyst.

Just another thing he can be second to RJJ in.

1-1 your point is moot. Jones is great, Hopkins would be great too. They both break down exactly what fighters are thinking very well, and Hopkins knows more about the thinking and technical game than Jones does if you ask me man.
