where does that even come from ? Cotto wasnt ranked..But he moved up in weight to fight someone with a tittle at the 154 limit.. How it should be done.. Yuri wanted the fight so you cant blame Cotto for that.. the better man won that night.. now Cotto is ranked.. dont try to justify The Marg-Pac fight at a catchweight for a tittle by trying to bash Cotto..

I just dont understand how this fight can be for a 154 tittle when BOTH are not ranked in the 154 weight class.. and at a catchweight of 150?!.. this is a slap in the face to all the ranked fighters in the division.. it truly is sad how these belt organizations are ruining boxing..

There was no double standard... He wasnt ranked before he fought for the tittle but was ranked after the tittle.. im sure if Yuri wasnt champ that they wouldnt have made that fight for a vacant belt..

I understand the rankings and how they come to them, and don't get me wrong, Margarito es mas perro que la chingada, and I love the guy. I just hate the general direction that boxing is heading in according to belts and rankings and all this drama.

In my opinion, Margarito would eat up all the "ranked WBC" fighters anyway and be #1 anyway, I just hate that he's getting the belt this way (if he wins). Nobody will consider him a legitimate 154 lb. champ because everyone is going to say Pacquiao is too small and it was a catchweight. The guy wants respect and thinks beating Pacquiao is the only way to redeem himself. Damn our Mexican pride, makes us think all funky.

You want to know the other difference is?? 3 out of the top 5 guys at 154 have gotten knocked out by Margarito. One of them twice. Bull**** catchweight or not, it's still a legit fight for Pac. In my eyes though.

Marg looked like **** in his last fight.. I honestly think he needs another fight before taking on Pac.. and fighting a ranked fighter regardless if he wins or not would have been better than just going after pac.. I guess i wouldnt have such a problem with it if they fought at 147 for Pacs WBO tittle.. but a 150 cathweight for a 154 lbs tittle is ridiculous..
