Also, if you lose, why should you get an immediate title shot again? He needs to go back and fight some more guys his own age and see where he is in 2 or 3 fights and EARN his way back to a title shot.

we want the best to fight the best, if pascal fights bute next then cloud-dawson is a obvious matchup. even though hes coming of a loss hes still one of the 4 best Lt.HWs out there, no doubt about that. dawson still has the best resume in the division. dawson earned his position in the division he doesnt need 2-3 fights to prove it, they would just be meaningless. fighting anyone other than pascal, cloud or bute he cant prove anything anyways.

Calzaghe and Hopkins are dumb for not fighting Dawson because they both would've beaten him. But yeah, you're right. Dawson would've been a better opponent than a shot Roy Jones.

He still has the ability and technical qualities but whether he has the intangibles remains to be seen.

I am not just going to say he doesn't because of one bad performance, though I will say that if he rematches Pascal and roughly the same thing happens, I will change my view on that.

Pascal and Cloud are not elite fighters in my view.

Dawson has all of the physical tools and skills to be the best but maybe not the mentality of a champion to be an elite guy and I think let a fighter he is better than just take his 0 without a fight and him digging down at all to preserve his status.

Right now with Pascal and Cloud as the two guys on top and Shumenov just below them who couldn't be considered more than a C+ level fighter, LHW is looking piss poor to me.

Anyone else see it that way?
