Just went to boxrec and for fights in my area they have Holyfield fighting at Joe Louis Arena on November 5th. Have any of you guys heard anything about this?

i believe hes fighting veteran sherman williams there...if he wins he may be getting a shot at vitalis wbc title in march or april....as long as vitali wins his next fight, which he should.the wbc already gave holyfield a thumbs up that they would sanction the fight.

Yeah, he is fighting Williams. I just found it strange that they decided to have the fight at Detroit. Even more strange they chose an arena that can hold around 20,000 people. Holyfield may be a legend but no way is he even filling half that arena.

his last fight vs botha had only 2000 people there...id have to agree with you.botha has had a solid career & i thought it was a good matchup of over 40 fighters.sherman williams is a journeyman trialhorse at best.since the title shot is looming, you know he wasnt going to fight a top contender...interested to see how many show up.
