In retrospect Dawson has to be one of the most overrated fighters in many years. I personally never understood why he was rated that high. Beating a couple of 40 year olds just doesn't warrant such a high ranking as far as I'm concerned.

No doubt it wasn't his only good win. He had a great run at LHW, which is why B.Hop avoided him for so long. But Cunningham was probably the most impressive. At least in my opinion. And guys like Briggs and Arreola are ranked in their divisions, but they're not elite fighters. The guys on p4p list have been in the ring with multiple elite fighters.

This is a good question. I wonder how Ring and Boxingscene will approach their next rankings.

They'll be difficult to compile. Crowe's gonna be eaten.

If Dawson is number six on the pound for pound rankings then there are about seven SMW's in the top five.

Adamek and Bute should be somewhere between 6 and 10.

Wlad should be in the top 5.

But some of the writers who vote on the rankings, like Raskin and Detloff, seem to dislike European boxers.

Heavyweights shouldnt be in p4p IMO
