Dawson started slow,but what realy happened,Pascal was bailed out when that headbutt opened the cut on Chad.

Just an observation from the Rivera/John Heavyweight bout - "The third [Judge], Jean Lapointe, had it 59-55 for John, giving the first round to Rivera 10-9 and then finding each of the remaining 5 rounds for John." You said that Rivera knocked John down in the first round right? So if Lapointe scored the round 10-9 he actually gave the round to John or else wouldn't it have been 10-8?
I'm not gonna lie, I actually cringed when I saw Marlon B. Wrights name in your article. I know Canada likes him but I saw so much blatantancy in his re***** in Bute/Andrade I, and not just at the final mayhem.
Is it just me, or in the last few fights have you been noticing alot more Judges with little to no title experience in the Main Events? Seems like atleast for the bigger, more important fights, they used to have Judges with a lot more credible experience.
Did you get your "14 hour bus ride" fight watched?? lol

Just watching the fight while traveling back from Toronto on the train. Pascal fought his fight for most of the fight. He charged in spurts and made it look like he was doing damage. Many times he was not landing but he looked like the aggressor. Pascal was out on his feet at least 3 times during this fight and was ripe for the picking.

Dawson was the more accurate fighter, landed more meaningful shots and easily the more skilled fighter. Dawson gave this fight away.

I just loved a beaten and bloody and stunned and embarrassed and humiliated and excuse filled Dawson whining and complaining to Merchant on HBO after the fight explaining why he just got his ass kicked by a huge underdog they made fun of before the fight. Great win for Pascal and a great win for boxing. Dawson has the least charima and charm of any fighter ever that is why he has no fan base.

Dawson whining and complaining to Merchant on HBO after the fight was a bit too much for me , man up dude you played around and didn't fight and you got beat. he had the crowd and proably the judges but you had experience , reach and height and failed to execute .As they say " you knew the job was dangerous when you took it ", now find the balls to admit you gave the damn fight away by not being busy and taking him out when you had him hurt . My hats off to Pascal , he fought his best fight , now he owns the belts !

I couldn't wait til a fast young hard hitting fighter got ahold of him. I saw the old and generic rock him and felt he was just hype.

My problem with him is the same with Mayweather. Chad has the skills but just won't engage into a war. He should have knocked out Pascal, but his game plan , by the way he said it , was to throw some punches and stop.

Boxing politics are what makes the HYPE JOBS !! Fighters are gonna have to man up and get in the ring and FIGHT !!!

We need to go back to one Title per division !!

We need to go to tournaments to get this started and end all this MESS !!

A super 6 or 8 needs to be in each division and come up with a winner and then proceed with the KING Of the HILL !

All the commissioning bodys need to merge into ONE or GET OUT !! ONE accord is needed , not Discord !!

Boxing needs and OVERHAUL !!!!!!!!!!

floyd engaged hatton and mosley into a war. he couldve used his superior footwork to beat shane, but he stood toe to toe for 12 rounds, even after he got KO'd, it didnt bother him, he showed a warrior's heart. and he was in a war with N'dou as well.

dawson couldve won the fight in so many different ways, pascal footwork is horrible, he was getting trapped on the ropes constantly, thats when chad would hurt him but then step back and relax.

it pissed me off to see chad fight the way he did, as if he didnt know he was in canada and if the fight is close he will lose, he had to either KO him or just beat his azz up and down the ring to leave no doubt, he fought as if he was sparring, he should be ashamed of himself, dont blame the ref, he was the superior boxer with all the tools but did nothing with them

I always tell people that skills in this sport will take you a long way. But when champions fight champions, it comes down to heart and determination. Chad showed his usual superior skills, but not the determination he needed against Pascal. Jean had it plus the heart to stay on his feet after some crushing shots. That is why he is number 1 now.Hopefully, Chad will learn from this experience and know how to switch gears in these type of fights. The rematch, if it happens, will be explosive.
