I should remind you that Roy Jones was Never the number one Middleweight in the world, in 1993 and 1994 it was Gerald McClellan who was the number one Middleweight in the world according to RING magazine.Originally posted by CUFreezeRoy at Middleweight was unbeatable. If the competition had of been there he would have never moved out of Middle. He was naturally that weight and would have continued to dominated any and everyone. He had to move b/c people wanted to see more competition...Last edited by JUYJUY; 07-21-2005, 09:35 AM.Comment

ooookay...i made this post so that i could stimulate on discussing about boxing styles, movement and strategy (ie using RJJ as an example). but all we've coverered is 'roy is awesome...no he wasn't...where do i get the dvd?'...lol
well i got it at fry's for 14.99. you can get them at best buy too and at walmart.
one thing roy relied on too much was backing up straight and using that check hook (the move tarver waited on and clocked him...funny how one of the best counter punchers gets KO'd by one of the best counter shot...hehe). it's just strange how he would employ that at LH when the guys there are taller/bigger...Comment
