"De la hoya was in top shape against floyd"

    - Floyd fought and won against Dela hoya VIA SPLIT DECISION. PAC and ODLH fought at TWO DIVISIONS above PAC's natural weight class and made dela Hoya quit at his stool.

    "Floyd beat an unbeaten hatton"

    - Floyd fought Hatton at 147, a division ABOVE Hatton's FAVORED WEIGHT of 140, PAC destroyed Hatton at 140 in two one-sided rounds.

"Shane is a fighter who's more dangerous than pacquiaos last 3 opponents"

    - correction, shane WAS more dangerous than PAC's last 3 opponents. It was obvious looking at the Shane/Floyd fight age and constant drug use took its toll on Shane.

"he beat those people at their weight and not at catch weight"

    - how quickly you forget Floyd's cheating against a smaller, shorter , older, overweight Marquez. Not only did they fight at CATCHWEIGHT, they fought at TWO DIVISIONS ABOVE Marquez's weight class. And floyd wasn't satisfied on fighting a guy with such lopsided odds on his favor, HE HAD TO CHEAT!
What do u mean with WAS ?

I knew someone would mention JMM.

JMM was just a tune up..his skills compared to floyds skills are zero..if floyd came in lighter than JMM do u think it would made a difference? If they fought 100 times JMM would lose all of the 100 times..floyd toyed with him and it wasn't the weight diff it was his skills.

Cotto had no plan B when he came in.

    Clottey didn't fight back.

Hatton wasn't the same man in and out of the ring after floyd was done with him.Hatton was mentally strong when he fought floyd, hatton had the warrior mentality which is the most important thing.

Roach said it himself HATTON IS DAMAGED GOODS.

If pacquiaos coach knew that hatton was done and he clearly stated it before the fight why are you making it look like as if he was in a better form when he fought pac?

      You can't be serious

Ok let me explain this to you..when oscar fought floyd..he was in tip top shape, oscar came in trained up to box..so that means that his whole training camp was all about concentrating on the fight UNLIKE when he fought pac..and if you don't believe me then feel free to watch the 24/7 series again.

Oscar was on a DIET when he prepared for the pacquiao fight, you said they fought 2 divisions above pacquiaos natural weight class yea and how many divisions under oscars natural weight class did they fight?

Oscar had to drop the kilos and had to weight himself every 30 minutes while pacquiao had his conditional coach pump him up with protein shakes.

Oscar had to hunger himself to make the weight..how can u expect someone to fight who's been on a diet during his whole training camp.

Against floyd oscar came in strong and prepared to box and he showed it and most importantly his physic showed it.

Against pacquiao he was on a diet, more worried about losing his weight than about performing well..and his physical appearance in the pacquiao fight was just sad..no one deserves to fight like that.

He will be remembered that he got outboxed twice by Castillo and lost a fight against Hoya!

You're asking if a retrospective look on Floyd's career- should he retire undefeated- will weigh current favorites to fight Mayweather that he's avoiding, over his undefeated record.

Well, let's look at just recent history. Most people who have been here awhile remember when Margarito's fans were rushing the boards- instead of Pacquiao's- and everyone wanted to see him fight Floyd. In fact, Mayweather was ducking him; well, now that Margarito has been KOed by Shane and had the cheating scandal...where are those cries now? Looks like Floyd made a smart move avoiding a larger man that, ultimately, he didn't need to fight.

Further, how about those chants for Cotto-Mayweather? After Miguel's KO losses and him moving up to junior middleweight, that's squashed, too.

My point is...just because Floyd is avoiding someone now, doesn't necessarily mean that, when their career is examined, history will wonder why the fight didn't happen.

Even Pacquiao, in record alone, doesn't look amazing from a historical perspective. He's had a great rise to the top in the last few years but if he, theoretically, lost a fight in the next year or two...would anyone, in twenty years, care that Floyd didn't fight him? Probably not.

What we want now and what people wish would've happened in 20, 30 years...they aren't always the same.

In other words, it'll depend on the careers of the men he's avoided.

If Mayweather doesn't fight Pacquiao it will remembered more than the "0". Also, many boxing fans knows that Mayweather lost to Castillo in the first fight. He needs to fight some top fighters in their prime before the end of his career and beat them if he wants to be one of the GOAT like he says he is. If he lose against Pacquiao who started his career at 105, Floyd will remembered has a very good boxer, maybe a top 50 ATG, but not 1 top 20 Welterweight ATG would have lost against a guy who was naturally as small as Pacquiao. He if beats Pacquiao it will help him, cause now in the media they are calling him a chicken, not the best thing for a boxer. So, unless you're a Floyd fan who have never fought in a ring, you know that Floyd have some work to do before being remembered as one of GOAT.

And this is why floyd better not fight anyone else besides pac in the next say 6 months or 1 year because if he avoids pac then he will truly be labeled as a duck, ducker, tail wagging quack quack... His '0' won,t mean sht...
