My personal opinion is that his "0" and his erratic ring behaviour will be remembered in tandem, that one will instantly recall the other.

If his "O" is mentioned, say in a boxing site, will be a ******* of comments saying "yeah, but he kept that "0" only because he was VERY careful as to whom he fought....." or....

If his "always have the advantage" kind of opponent chosing is mentioned then "yeah, thats how he was able to keep his "0"....."

I'd forgotten about Stevie Johnson, who, in those days, was about as good as a fighter can get. "Little" yes, but "VERY bad".

"De la hoya was in top shape against floyd"

          - Floyd fought and won against Dela hoya VIA SPLIT DECISION. PAC and ODLH fought at TWO DIVISIONS above PAC's natural weight class and made dela Hoya quit at his stool.

          "Floyd beat an unbeaten hatton"

          - Floyd fought Hatton at 147, a division ABOVE Hatton's FAVORED WEIGHT of 140, PAC destroyed Hatton at 140 in two one-sided rounds.

"Shane is a fighter who's more dangerous than pacquiaos last 3 opponents"

          - correction, shane WAS more dangerous than PAC's last 3 opponents. It was obvious looking at the Shane/Floyd fight age and constant drug use took its toll on Shane.

"he beat those people at their weight and not at catch weight"

          - how quickly you forget Floyd's cheating against a smaller, shorter , older, overweight Marquez. Not only did they fight at CATCHWEIGHT, they fought at TWO DIVISIONS ABOVE Marquez's weight class. And floyd wasn't satisfied on fighting a guy with such lopsided odds on his favor, HE HAD TO CHEAT!
          GREAT POST MAN!!

And just to answer the thread, Ray Robinson got more praises than the undefeated Marciano...

Just because they are a top fighter doesn't mean ****. I mean really Corralles, Gatti, Juddah, Hatton... these guys were big names they weren't great fighters. Most of them gave us exciting fights which is why they were popular, Gatti is a prime example. He had 9 losses, drank like a fish between fights (just like Hatton.) The only legit top fighters on that list are De La Hoya (who never won any big fights) Marquez who had to move up 2weight divisions and then Mosley whose lost to every boxer he's faced as was 38 years old. People only remember the Margarito fight, Mosley struggled with an old Mayogra and shot Vargas twice and a loss to Cotto all before Marg. Floyd noticeably is missing southpaws on his list aside from Judah, oh and in his last 3 of 4 fights all three of the opponents have been 35 or older.

Also Manny's already fought just as many names as Mayweather and WW and he's done it in two years. And while Floyd was fighting guys like Judah, Gatti and Baldomir, Manny was fighting Morales, Marquez, Barrera. I'm just going to say you don't want to actually see Manny vs Mayweather next to each other, its quite embarrassing when you take all things into account as to who will be remembered for. Manny might have a few losses in the column but you'll know he faced anyone that was put in front of him. The simple fact that you have to legitimize his competition alone is garbage. Its one thing you'll never have to argue either way for with Manny, and thats gets more respect from me than a zero. I even think Floyd will be beat Manny, but the simple fact that Floyd wants nothing to do with the fight is such a ***** move I have no respect for the 0.

              Miguel Cotto

              Vernon Forrest

              Antonio Margarito

              Joshua Clottey

If any of these fighters fought Floyd Mayweather's opponents they would all be undefeated too.

              Floyd's ZERO = ZERO

The only fighters people say Floyd avoided are Arum's fighters, and we all know Floyd did not want to put money in Arum's pocket. Only the fans of those fighters who fought or still fight under Arum can't see this. You guys don't know how truly personal it was for Floyd to buy out his contract from Arum.

Yeah, losing to Mayorga, Baldomir, Shane and some bums Margarito lost to keeps them undefeated especially if they fought those guys from 147 while Floyds opponents were still at 130, 135 and 140 lol...

Mayweather or delahoja? And who is still UNDEFEATED????
Great point. Bottom line is: You can't fight everyone. You just can't. It takes 6 months to promote a big fight. The days of SRR are past us, no one will fight elite fighters back to back in a 2 year spawn. No one.
For every fighter Mayweather did not fight there would be an equal case for the ones he did fight.
Proof of this is the fact people always say Mayweather is avoiding someone until he signs the contract. After the fight is signed, Floyd is automatically considered the favorite to win and the cowards (aka my ignore list) shut the **** up for until the fight is over.

Mayweather being undefeated is not only careful management, it's mostly his HUGE talent. He's truly great and everyone should be able to see it.
The haters have to hate, let them hate. It's just envy, nothing else.
