Who is the #1 Super Middleweight right now? Ward or Bute

I will have to go with Ward as he dominated the man before him Kessler who was the a co-favorite to win the tournament, plus I like Bute and all but Andrade knocked him out about a year ago but the ref gave him like a 5-minute long 10 second count.

I would say Ward, although i wasn't really impressed with his last fight, too much clinching reminded me of Ricky Hatton.

Bute beat the count and won by wide UD. He destroyed Andrade in 4 rounds in the rematch.

Ward had to cheat and excessively clinch his way to a boring lackluster decision against Miranda.

          Bute crushed Miranda in 3.

Andre Ward. He's beaten better competition, and on top of that he dominated them. The best wins on Bute's resume are Andrade and Miranda, which isn't better then Miranda, Kessler and Green. Ward should be the #1 super middleweight and will be ranked as so after he beats Dirrell.

What Ward did on the inside against Green wasn't clinching, he was bullying him and landing clean punches on the inside. He completely imposed his will on the bigger man and showed diversity in fighting styles. He's gonna top the p4p list real soon. I'm looking forward to him fighting Bute and eventually Dawson down the line.

                    Strictly off of resume

Kessler, Green, Miranda > Bika, Andrade, Miranda

And stylistically, if Ward ever faced Bute, he would work him over, especially at 168.
