wow, read this... its from the "opinion" section of the newspaper:
"Brutal boxing"
As I watched the movie "Cinderella Man," I was confronted with the same problem that i had when i saw "Million Dollar Baby." These two films are examples of acting and directing at their absolute excellence, but the problem is that the audience has to also sit through all of the graphically brutal boing scenes. The big question is why two females beating each other senseless or two males doing the same thing is called a "sport." It's outrageous that boxing can't be outlawed. I think the main reason for this is the money involved. As with drugs and guns, as long as people are will to pay for them, they will continue to exist.
