Universum guaranteed that they were going to get him a fight with Williams, and screwed it up, so he left them.

This is an atrocious opponent selection. Collazo would be much better than this shell of a champion.

Am really starting to wonder if Dzinziruk is going to retire with some great record, like 45-0 with a ton of defenses and never really fight any of the top guys. Universum wasted his talent for years and it doesn't seem like much has changed for him in the U.S. IMO, he would be competitive with anybody from welterweight to middleweight and beat any of the second-level champions. Almost wish he'd move up to middleweight because there seems like there will be a whole lot more going on there in the next few years and, at a minimum, he can beat up one of the secondary champions like Sylvester or Sturm

Because he wants the big fights. They don't want to fight him though.

And before you even start, Collazo and Mayorga are bigger fights than Martirosyan.

His resume is better than people make it out to be. Prime Santos and one loss Julio aren't too bad. Konecny and Lujan aren't too bad either.

He actually said he is going to retire fairly soon, because he's not that young.

But his resume isn't like an Omar Narvaez or Zsolt Erdei.

Sadly I agree, poor Vanes. If he were any other promoter he'd be getting a shot!!

DZINZIRUK is a very good boxer and tough;MAYORGA can't take the title from him, especially now.If MAYORGA want a title fight that he can take right now,is the SYLVESTER belt,no other title holders will lose vs MAYORGA at 154/160 pounds.

Santos was a good win, but Lujan? He was a blown-up welterweight who was six inches shorter than Dzinziruk and he had been ko'd six months earlier. Easy fight. Lujan had no business being in a title fight.
Konecny is a fine European-level light middleweight and Julio is a kid with skills who has always been exposed when he stepped up. I am a fan of Dzinziruk but he should have fought better comp in his nearly 5 years as a champion.
