If you want a better perspective of punch resistance here's my take, the mosley/cotto fight gave us an idea that mosley and cotto almost have identical powers and chin. Yes mosley was able to knock margarito out but that was after a series of solid blows to the head and chin of antonio. And I am thinking now, maybe margarito did used padded gloves with cotto, because I do remember now how it bothered cotto in a way every time antonio hits him with those bricks thus lessening cotto's punch output, but with no pads I think it could have ended very similar to the mosley fight. Now setting that aside, mosley hit a balanced floyd with one punch and it rocked floyd, good thing floyd was able to recover and mosley was slow to follow through. Cotto on the other hand hit a balanced manny with straights and uppercuts but manny just suck them all up and didn't even flinched.
Now why did I keep on asserting the word balanced, because the only other time that manny appears to have been rocked by a shot when he went up to featherweight till now, was with marquez in the 2nd fight, and if you review that sequence juan was able to hit manny while manny was on an upward motion from bouncing around with his feet thus giving the impression that manny was rocked with that punch. Manny always had a great chin, his early ko losses was ages ago, the first was as a struggling starving teenager with limited experience as a boxer, and the 2nd was a weight drained bantamweight size boxer fighting for the flyweight championship. Now between floyd and manny, I think manny has a clear edge in the chin department.
My take if ever they fight each other, floyd can win with points but he won't be able to rock manny, on the other hand manny can win with ko but it will be very difficult because floyd has an ability just like marquez had, to recover from big shots. But this is the tricky one, if manny would be able to hit floyd with a big shots just like mosley and would be able to follow through with combos, it will be lights out or to a lesser degree, knockdown for floyd...Comment

I love how Mayweather is "Ducking" everyone until he signs to fight that person then Mayweather "Cherrypicked"...I still havent forgot the hype surrounding Hatton and how relentless he was and how Mayweather would never fight him blah blah blah.
Then Mosley was a real WW and Mayweather wouldnt fight him, As soon as the fight was signed they all suddenly remember how old Mosley was, If Mayweather taking two big right hand in one round from a big WW isnt an indication that he can take a shot then i dont know what else to say.Comment

To be frank i dont give a **** what some of this haters think anymore, The guy has proven himself over and over again in the RING! I might not agree with some of the things he says or does outside of the RING but inside of it NO one come close to him, I really cant wait for the Pacquiao fight because that would make him prove himself all over again..Motivation.Comment

everyone gets buckled when hit with a perfect shot. some would get knocked down, ktfo or do the chicken dance but that don't mean they have a glass chin right away. everyone in boxing gets buckled like that. floyd is skill wise better than pacquiao but it's just that he doesn't have that ferociousness and heart to go to war. that's what floyd is afraid of. he knows that if he goes on full cover like clottey did and go to pot shotting for 12 rounds pac might get the victory because of his work rate in the ring.
now if we go behind the scenes let say the bookies, mob, high stake rollers, syndicates, mafia and whatever u guys would want to call it. does floyd really have a bigger muscle than what pacquiao got? personally i dont think so! he said pacquiao is easy work, well first of all he ain't! pacquiao is a non stop machine from round 1 til 12. that's the first problem. 2nd can he bully pacquiao? he tried but everything backfired from day 1 didn't it? just an example pacquiao demolished mexico's elite fighters, don't mexicans got the cartels? none even tried to put a fawking pinky finger on him! just saying if we're gonna look past it.
i might be wrong and the reason why floyd don't want to fight is maybe because of his issues with the government and his uncle roger. and maybe this is just all his propaganda to wait and see what happens to pac after his war with margacheato. maybe it's all mind games and shiet.Comment
