It still does`nt change the fact that the Promoters should have loaded up the under-cards with exciting fighters which was my point.Let's see how many of those promoters that can't stand him because he hates on boxing give one of his fighters a chance at one of their fighters belts. Not gonna happen.
Also you said he had your sister and her boyfriend come over to watch Tyson-Lewis? Well... those are 2 of the greatest heavyweights of all-time and Tyson was fighting with a lot of publicity behind him and the whole fight.Comment

Then why doesn't Dana pay his fighters more? I think I saw that Lesnar only made $650K to fight Carwin, yet Alfredo freaking Angulo was offered $750K for a fight? Answer: because UFC is basically the only game going in MMA. Sure, there are promotions like DREAM and Strikeforce, but anybody who's anybody in MMA knows that the only real way to become a household name in MMA is to be with UFC. Dana knows that so he can pay his fighters bargain basement prices. In boxing that would NOT be the case, which is probably why Dana has no interest in the sport.Comment

Good luck getting fighters to fight for pennies when HBO is paying a lot of money to the top prospects. What does it say about MMA that prospects in boxing get larger contracts and make money money than the stars in MMA? Angulo turned down a million dollars package to fight Martinez for his belts and Angulo is not a draw, not a big name in the sport, and never sold PPVs as the star on the card."He tried working in boxing before and didn't do ****."
Did he have his own boxing League like he have in UFC?NO, big difference.
"The reason why he can be successful in MMA is because UFC is one company and all his fighters are signed to UFC. They also only have one belt for each weight class. He can get away with paying his fighters peanuts because they're the major promotional company in the US. He can staked his PPV's because his fighters are making something like 40-80K per fight without sharing the live gate or PPV sales."
If he were to use the same formula he uses in MMA except pay the boxers more?He made a ton money in UFC so he can afford it.
"Do you think top prospects and fighters would fight on the undercard of a PPV for 40K"
I think if they are not signed to big promoters and a major network they would.
Mosley makes 2M per fight, JMM makes 1M per fight, Khan makes 1M per fight, Martinez makes 1M per fight, etc.Comment

Have you not seen what he pays them? And UFC PPV numbers are inflated by the hundreds of thousands.Last edited by Zarco; 08-12-2010, 06:39 PM.Comment
