C'Mon Ray....I was as big a RJJ fan as anyone else (save for Reed).....and even I thought he was spot on with the Roy story....that's exactly what Roy did after his KO loss to Glen. He couldn't even put away a LHW version of Tito...

Kind of sums up how people are starting to feel about Floyd.....
Read this yesterday. Scoop made some good points. He seemed real concerned that floyd's keeping quiet gives off the appearance he is scared. I just think this makes no sense. I get scoop's point but I don't agree.

All Pacquiao needed to do was take a blood test, and every other consideration was in his favor for March, but he walked away and sued Floyd. Same ****, different era.
I would have to dis-agree....Floyd definately put himself in this media situation...pulling a "Lebron"....he should've handled it differently, could've...but diddn't. While the old adage "Actions speak louder than words" is very true....in this case...words would've definately helped out Team Mayweather. And I'm not talking about the "I just 60-days ago......." interview...because since that is what Floyd wants the public to go off of, then there is no other way to interpret that quote.

At the very least, if he would've came out with the "Uncle Roger / trial" statement...that would've been the most legit and understandable reasoning...only the *******s would still crucify Floyd...and we all know that when it comes to common sense....Tards are right up there with *****s.

I got you Dunn....long as people read the areticle with an open mind and "get" Scoop's points....then he has Dunn (lol) his job as a journalist (1st) and a concerned fan (2nd).

My only response to you would be then...."What would make sense?"

Please none of this "If Pac would've agreed to the original terms" stuff...the whole world has moved on from that.

WHat makes sense is to realize floyd doesn't really give a **** about what people say. He believes he is the commodity and everything revolves around him. Of all the crazy **** he's said the things that resonanted with me the most was "floyd mayweather is like the super bowl, it only comes around once a year" and his feelings about boxers after they retire.

Floyd is doing what he wants because he thinks he can get away with it at this stage of his career. He acts like movie stars do with the "any press, positive or negative, is good press" attitude toward the media. They call him scared, coward, ducker and he just ignores it and that pisses his fans off but INFURIATES the haters because he ignores them and their comments. He acts like he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone, like he is above all this.

I thought scoop was referring to RJJ's competition, Because to me RJJ fought almost everyone available in around his weight class.

Ah...my bad. Regarding that part...I feel the only fighter he diddn't fight was Calzaghe....and I don't believe it was a duck....it was because nobody cared about who J.C was over here in America...and American fighters RARELY fight outside the safeguard of their own backyard....

Other than that...Roy pretty much fought whoever was available and of note in his immediate weightclasses.

B.D - hardcore fans know this... but the "casual" fans don't get it....

IMO...Floyd has reached celebrity status....but he rates only as a "C-Lister" or at the very most..."B-Lister"...but hey...still a celeb.

This is the value of a good promoter. He makes the competition LOOK better than they truly are so twhen he name fighter gets the "w" it looks better.
