Do divisions get unfairly labeled "weak" if the top fighters are not American?

168 is loaded yet most of them are not american

i can go on and on but i see your point and to a certain extent i agree
If Bradley and Alexander were exactly the same only English, Max Kellerman would be saying the 140 division is weak.

They say it's "loaded" because of Bradley and Alexander being American.

When was the last entertaining fight of floyd mayweather or chad dawson?

But the kellermans and raskins lavish praise on them because they are americans.

Heavyweight gets ripped because no one can challenge the Klitsckos, and it got ripped just as much when Larry Holmes dominated for the same reason.

If David Haye would fight the Klitschkos, interest would really ratchet up.

I CARE ABOUT SEEING COMPETIVE FIGHTS OR THE HYPE FROM A POTENTIAL FIGHT LIKE HAYE AND VLAD

Americans are like that little kid who wants all the toys to themselves and b1tch an moan when they have to give one up.

I like the diversity as far as champions from different countries are concerned because it promotes the sport world wide.

I do however agree and think it's ****ed up to label a division weak because a champ isn't American.

I guarantee you if Lacy would have beat Calzaghe, 168 would have been receiving so much love yet Calzaghe won and the division was labeled as being garbage.

no way, that ass whooping calzaghe laid on lacy set the tone for the 168 division and woke up the american boxing fan who wasn't knowing of the world boxing scene........

excitement, good match making, and a good popular draw is what makes a division good, packed with talent.

if the division is loaded with talent and no one is fighting one another or no one is making exciting fights, then it's not going to get any attention or proper attention it should or needs.......

i think all you people hung up on euro this vs american that, i think it's a load of crap, talent is talent, a good fighter and good person is the same all over the world.

it really doesn't add up to anything other than childish behavior, low level mind set, and the same old argument that doesn't get anywhere or solve anything, and doesn't make a point of one being better than the other.

no matter where one is from, if he sucks then he sucks, if he's good then he's good, if he's great than he's great, and thats that.

both sides play this game, i'm not blaming europeans and not backing americans, but, what about boxing fans???? can we not just enjoy the sweet science as the sweet science?

Tunney only see's what he wants to see. If 100 black folks said white people are great boxers and 20 black people said white's are garbage, guess who is gonna get 100% of Tunney's attention. He only see's it one way. Btw that was just an example.

Yes he did. Andrade knocked him down and the ref started counting, and then he started over (without even looking at Andrade), giving Bute extra time to get up. Why do you think they did a rematch? Because there was so much controversy about that win.

I forgot what the ref's excuse was, but I remember it being a bad one because he didn't look at Andrade.

I doubt nationality really has anything to do with the sad state the heavyweight division is in right now. It is what it is.
