Well, I think right now, middleweight is OK. A lot of the talented guys in the division are really at the prospect/contender stage of their career. It'll most likely change within the year.

140 and 168 are seen as top divisions, yet there aren't a whole lot of Americans at the top in those divisions, and I believe Paulie will be moving up soon. FW is seen as a top division as well, and there's only Luevano at 126.

IMHO, 118 is the best division and there are no Americans to speak of at the top unless you count Donaire (who hasn't actually fought a top fighter in the division yet, but certainly has the talent to compete there). There are a few of them based in the US or those that've been on American TV, but that's the closest it gets.

Middleweight is deep with young talented fighters.

If Pirog was from Detroit, would you still say he's a bum?

If Golovkin, who KOed Bute and defeated Dirrell in the amateurs, was an African-American from Philadelphia would you recognize his talent?

If Lemieux be seen as more talented if he was American? Would Korobov?

Would Sturm, Sylvester, Zbik and others be seen as decent fighters if they were from the USA?

Cruiserweight is LOADED with good fighters like Lebedev, Drozd, Huck, Frenkel, Wlod, etc. If only they were from the USA.

I agree with about half of that, but it's not just Americans being biased, that **** happens from both sides!!I find myself being disgusted with this sight & probably any because of it!!I like fighters from all over the world, but it seems like I'm the only 1 sometimes!!If U only like fighters from 1 part of the world or that are a certain race, then Ur not really a boxing fan,Ur just a fan of a certain race or nationality & U should just go make up ur own sight somewhere & call it something like "Black American fight fans",or "Eastern European fight fans",or something like that & go post there!!

If the Klitschkos were African-American, and exactly the same in other ways, would people still bash the HW division?

The K bros have ran out of viable contenders to challenge them, there are no star fighters at MW that brings attention to the division(Sturm has also been on idle for a while). CW has been entertaining

Its to do with the psyche of the nation or race imo.

Brits fight with no intelligence and wear their heart on their sleeve, this leads to them having a lack of defense and getting knocked out against the very best fighters cause they show too much to the opponent he can capitalize on.

Mexcian fighters are aggressive to, just a little smarter with it imo, plus, most hispanic fighters are smaller, meaning there are less white/Black fighters to compete with, white/black people are genually bigger and so campaign at the higher weights, the higher weights were there are more black fighters, who psyche is to be smart first and foremost and you use your defense to create offense.

Eastern Euro fighters are known to be technically sound, but very conventional and safety first fighters.

The only fighter you named that is actualyl in the top ten at the moment is Pirog, and he only jsut burst onto the scene. Give a year or two, and the division will be much improved because of the prospects gaining speed. Korobov and Lemieux arent anywhere close to the top ten, last time I checked. Golovkin will be stepping out into the top very soon, but as of yet he has no big wins.

Sylvester is no better than an old Karmazin(although theyre both decent fighters), Sturm hasnt fought in over a year, and Zbik is a virtual unknown.

in reality, the top fighters at Middlewight at this current moment are a little weak.

This is true...I'm tired of hearing American "fans" scream from the rafters about how great the Light Heavyweight division is. It is sickening... lol

They probably wouldn't if the klits were american that's probably true. But from there and to saying that a division is weak per definition if the top fighters aren't american is a big stretch IMO.
