Honestly why are the only ones that complain about this ****, which has no evidence backing it up 90 percent Cotto fans. Martinez didn't complain, Clottey didn't complain, the guy who had his ear ripped off Lujan didn't complain. It's only Cotto fans.

Also Tito was cought with illegal wraps, and he put the tape directly on his knuckles and then abused gauze making his wraps as Naazim said "like a baseball bat". The funny think is nobody was calling for his banishment from the sport. The fact that he was forced to legally wrap his hands a second time shows you that he tried to cheat as well. Should he have served a lifetime ban too?

I've posted the facts about this many many times. Nothing is allowed on the wraps, period.

"The only things that are allowed in hand wraps are gauze and tape and those items aren't gauze and tape," she said, according to the Times.
A California Department of Justice senior criminalist who inspected the wrappings under a stereomicroscope and with an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer determined the wraps contained sulfur and calcium, according to a document obtained by the Times. Those two elements, with the addition of oxygen, make plaster of Paris.

The hand wraps were removed from Margarito's fists shortly before his Jan. 24 title fight against Mosley when Mosley's trainer, ****m Richardson, objected to their use. The hardened gauze pads, which had been inserted inside the hand wraps near Margarito's knuckles, were seized by the California State Athletic Commission, which sanctions and oversees boxing in the state.

i have nothing to cry about.. karma has a way of working itself out.

        cotto, benefited from all this.
while margarito was stuck boxing a nobody at a second rate venue in mexico.. cotto was in the states making tons more money.

cotto will retire without a doubt in his career, knowing that win lose or draw.. it was him in the ring doing the damage, not what possibly could've been plaster inserts.
margarito will retire.. for ever scarred as a cheater

I've posted the same thing. Thats why its called an "infraction" under csac rules.

They could've put a maxi pad on his fists and they'd still suspend him for it.

This whole story is a non issue. Margarito deserves an apology from the feckless and incompetents over at csac and should be reimbursed for a years worth of pay.

if there was something on the wraps, he'd be banned.

again, sulfur and calcium are also found in other things.

notice how that article doesn't state flat out that there was plaster of paris found in the wraps. the words are manipulated in such a way that people just swallow it as "fact"

              Good point street bully.

              Damn good point.

But then again, Clottey, Williams, Martinez, and Lujan also don't take knees and quit in front of the their families and embarrass their home nations on live tv.

He is suspended indefinitely, meaning he can apply for a license, but he's suing the state he's applying in. You tell me if he's ever getting licensed.

I'm not a Tito fan but if they would've found anything other than gauze and tape on his hands he should've been banned too.

& there's nothing to complain about. I'm not complaining, what happened, happened.
you guys are complaining about Margarito being treated unjust.

Why can't you just man up and admit that there was an illegal pad in his gloves that wasn't supposed to be there and wether he knew about it or not. it violated the csac rules.

& in boxing, wether you know about it or not.. you are responsible for yourself and your corner.
