Dirrell does not necessarily have to win to get into the semi's, it all depends on how the other fights play out.
Is Dirrell vs. Ward worth watching?

He's pretty ****ed if he doesn't win...
Abraham/Froch winner clears over him.
Ward clears over him.
Kessler is going to beat terrible ass Green, so...
That leaves the loser of Froch/Abraham to get in over Dirrell because Froch has the head to head tiebreaker and Abraham has the extra point because of the knockout.
DOESN'T look good.Comment

Dirrell would secure a spot with a win, but I believe he'd get in with a draw, if certain results go his way.I don't know about this fight. Both guys seem to be good friends and i'm interested in seeing how they approach this fight. For some reason, I see Ward not taking this fight as serious as the others because he already has a spot secured in the semi-finals and Dirrell knows he has to win this fight to get a spot in the semi finals. What if Ward just lets him win so their is another American in the semis? lol I see it being a pretty boring fight with no one taking a stand except for Dirrell for the most part and see him taking a split decision. What do yous think?Comment

How many times have they been knocked down combined? Both guys are professionals. If you see cautious posing, it's because both guys are incredibly quick with their feet and hands and don't want to make a mistake and get caught since both are..."chinny"
Come fight night, friendship is out the door, they have a job to do. They can be friends after the fight.
Has Ward ever even been hurt?Comment

Yes they have.
Believe it or not, I don't see this being close. I see Ward winning a comfortable 117-111, 118-110 decision
Only way Ward loses is if Dirrell catches him and stops him. Ward can turn up the pressure and fight on the inside if need be, something I haven't see from Dirrell, yet. Not only that, I just think Ward is the better outside boxer while Ward has the edge in power. Still not sure who's quicker (hands or feet). If Dirrell wins, it'll be a KO/TKO/Stoppage/Whatever, you know what I mean.Comment

Ward likes to fight in someone's chest... I feel like there is a realistic possibility that Dirrell's speed and range keeps it on the outside, and he could win a decision.Yes they have.

Against sluggers, slow footed opponents yeah, Ward can match his speed and yeah Dirrell has the slight height/reach advantage, something that can be offset with quick feet, hands, and timing. Ward has those.
It's nothing against Dirrell, he was boxing beautifully against Abraham and I thought he beat Froch (**** referee Hector Afu), but I think Ward can do anything Dirrell can do, and then some.Comment
