Bradley: I still think this fight is too early.(New Interview)

The fight is too early. It's just a fact. The fight has big time potential, but Alexander lost a ton of shine and Bradley now has all the leverage.
There is a difference between the money HBO would put up for the fight if Alexander blew Kotelnik out and how much they will put up for the fight after Alexander arguably lost.
If Alexander comes back and beats....say Maidana impressively, they both make more money.
This has potential to be a $4 million WCB, something that's very rare. But not after that performance.
And I'd lose respect for Bradley if he succumbed to Alexander's childish call outs when it is a business. Alexander is sounding like he needs Bradley now.
Too many what ifs.
I'm not Alexander or Bradley's manager, I'm not trying to map out their careers. I just want to see the best fight the best and at 140 those are the top dogs.
It would be one thing if Alexander was a prospect but he's not, he's a unified title holder at 140. He wants to test himself against the perceived #1 guy, I commend him for that.
This fight should have happened over a year ago when Alexander was Bradley's #1 mandatory. He rather gave up the title then fight him but now he wants to fight Ortiz because he's about to be his Mandatory?Comment

Why even bring this up if you don't know the whole story? Bradley was a unfied champion, and he had two mandatories. Alexander, a guy who was no more proven then Lamont Peterson and his best win was a sloppy decision over DeMarcus Corley, or Nate Campbell, a much more known fighter coming off of an impressive victory over Ali Funeka. What was he supposed to do? If he had fought Alexander instead, people would be saying he ducked Campbell. Even Campbell, who hates Bradley's guts defended him in that situation, saying he was not ducking Alexander.
BH: Let’s just say this fight with Alexander doesn’t materialize, and we all know that there are a lot of names out there for you to fight, but who does Timothy Bradley want?TB: Well, you know they have been talking about Khan, but you know dang well they are not going to send Amir Khan my way, not right now. You have a fighter like Zab Judah who had a good comeback fight, who would be willing to fight me, there are still some good names out there, Victor Ortiz is probably going to be my mandatory. There are a lot of good fights out there, but I don’t know man, I am unsure what is going to happen. Personally, if everything goes like I think it is going to happen the Alexander fight will happen(It will happen when?), but I still think it is to early for Alexander, he is still to immature. Especially with him coming off a fight like his last fight, I dominate my fights.Comment

Bradley is just a flat out lame, he didn't want it after Devon Ko'd a guy that had never been put out, now he using this performance as another excuse. When has he ever looked impressive ever? Devon looked like **** but he got the W, Bradley fought a no name bum and wasn't the least bit impressive. Maybe they should just make Khan Vs Bradley a guy that can't punch vs a guy that can't take one, Devon is still a champ, why we gotta keep letting Bradley bum fight and still fight nobody. bad performance or not atleast devon want to fight the logical reasonable bouts, Bradley has showed no interest in actually fighting anyone in the mix at 140, why he always get a pass and get to demand more money while providing the least excitement and never facing anyone that matters at all. Bradley , Khan & Ortiz always get away with purposely fighting guys that cannot exploit there weaknesses, yet guys like Alexander & Judah want to fight everyone and get criticized for having bad performances, atleast these guys fighting the best and aren't making excuses all the godamn time.Comment

If they're smart, they will each fight another big guy at 140 and then fight.
I know people like to throw the whole "I don't care about another man's money" blah blah, but it's important to care and understand about the business aspect because it has a direct impact on the fights we see.
So instead of crucifying a guy for not taking a fight I want to see I put myself in his shoes and it gives me more patience with the sport.Comment

Nor am I, I'm just being a realist. It is a business, and the top dogs fighting in a loaded division is a big event. After Alexander just losing to Kotelnik(I just rewatched the fight and Devon lost) the magnitude of the event took a hit.

How much bigger can the fight get? You think it will be a HBO/PPV card? I don't.
This year has had too many fights fall through, I have patience but these guys are taking it to another level.
Floyd vs Pac - Nope
Haye vs Wlad/Vitali - Nope
Juanma vs Gamboa - Lets build it
Gamboa vs. Cab - **** the fans - Arum
Bradley vs Maidana - fake back injury
Bradley vs Alexander - Lets build it
Povetkin vs Wlad - Lets build it
Berto vs Anyone with a pulse - Lets build it
Martinez vs Linares - *Crickets*
Montiel vs Donaire - Arum says it's happening but I won't hold my breath
Vitali vs Valuev - I want $3 million
The Super Six is the only thing cranking out quality fights, that's what we need on HBO but once a fighter gets on HBO he thinks he deserves the world to fight a top guy. At least Chad Dawson is taking care of Business, Kim also said Martinez vs Williams II will probably happen.Comment
