As for the comparison between Vargas and Alexander I don't see it at all. Vargas' career has so many excuses, the favorable one seems to be that he was rushed. I don't even know if he was rushed though he just came out of the gate "that good." If anything derailed his career it was the injuries to his kneck that went unnoticed for years. Than the loss to De La Hoya in that fashion really killed his whole movement. That was probably his last good fight. Not only that but he was roided up and still lost.

Damn, people are doing moonsaults off of the Devon Alexander band waggon. Imo he isn't being pushed 2 fast. I mean, if he was 2 go and fight some old guys or a non-conteneder every1 would be saying he's cherry picking or King is protecting him. Its a lose-lose situation. Alexander hasn't done near enough to be compared to Vargas yet. Vargas in his time was a phenom.
