Devon Alexander = new Fernado Vargas

    What do you guys think.

I think that devin needs some more fights under his belt before he steps up to bradly. He is a talent but they are pushing him too fast too soon! I would blame King and Devon's Trainer if he's shot in a few years... "the great" needs to get "good" at defense! IMO.

That's a pretty BOLD statement, sure, Devon had a bad night but he wasn't utterly destroyed by his opponent.

A 21 year old Vargas was a lot more polished then Alexander is right now. Honestly, I wouldn't even make that comparison, but Alexander does need a lot of work.

It was just a bad style match-up.

that's bull**** Vargas was MUCH MUCH MUCH more talented than Devon. He's a naturally gifted fighter, he was very mature. A real pro. At the same time Devon struggled with SPINACH BOY KOTELNIK, Vargas was schooling Ike Quartey and Winky Wright.

Don't you EVER EVER compare Tim Bradley to Tito Trinidad or O.D.Hoya.

even if he were to fight Bradley and lose, I highly doubt it would be some career altering type of fight (Tim dosen't ruin fighters like Tito did)

If he doesn't take an easy fight next he'll end up like Vargas.

I agree. Vargas peaked very early.

Damn, people are doing moonsaults off of the Devon Alexander band waggon. Imo he isn't being pushed 2 fast. I mean, if he was 2 go and fight some old guys or a non-conteneder every1 would be saying he's cherry picking or King is protecting him. Its a lose-lose situation. Don't be ****** people, you can't ko every fighter and sometimes you can have an offnight while your opponent fights the fight of his life. At the end of the day he still got win and he brought in close to 10,000 people. Bradley did 2,000 in last fight. Ha! Lol. Gd for King 2 have that in his back pocket when negotiating with Shaw's ****** ass.

Devon isn't near as naturally talented as Vargas was...

I don't think you should compare Devon and Fernando.
