It is completely different styles kotelnik was short and slower hand speed so he had to walk in there covered up to be able to exchange, while khan is about 5'10 and much quicker hands.

Imo the problem wasnt completely kotelniks style but mostly alexanders tendency to keep his hands low after combos and as he was going back.

I just people put way too much emphasis on Khans chin acting like if he gets hit with any power at all he will be knocked out.

Other than those fights he might fight Victor Ortiz because Ortiz is also promoted by Golden Boy.

But he won't get knocked out. The guys that he should be fighting are Maidana (Who has been his manditory about a year), Devon Alexander and Tim Bradley. Roach realises that all these guys are a genuine threat to Khan. Which is why he paid a ridiculous amount of money to Maidana for an agreement that he wouldnt demand a fight with Khan.
I don't think he'll fight both Katsidis and JMM. I believe it will be one or the other. Also, a fight with Ortiz would be telling of his chin, so I wouldn't mind it. I think it's impossible for Khan to avoid a puncher where he is for 24 months. Had he been fighting at some **** division maybe, but not where he is.

I don't think Khan having no chin is the case, but I think he could be in trouble if he's in a drag out fight where he has to take 2 or 3 good punches a round. Also, the guy has managed not to get hit in several fights. He can't be expected to not to take damage for 2 years. I think he will continue to shine in several matchups, but I have a feeling there is kryptonite for him somewhere in the 140 lb divison.

For my part you can add Bradley to that list and Lamont Peterson as well. Khan is gonna' get KO'd. It's only a matter of time. Maybe...MAYBE his team can keep him safe through 2 years of fights, but only if he fights sparingly. They could try and play the Mayweather card and say **** like,"he's not in my league" and " he's got no drawing power", etc...in this fashion maybe they can pull it off, but I think he'll get knocked in the next 2 years. I voted yes.

Btw, I'm not ruling out his takin' the canvas nap via the Marquez route. I would just LOVE that ****. :

Just curious, can you even think of 2 years worth of fights for him where he doesn't take some serious punches? I'm not sure it's possible even with serious inactivity. I feel bad for him if he does get floored or get bambi legs again. He'll be in gif form all over this website the very next morning.

Well there is kryptonite for every one at 140. You dont go through a division that stacked undefeated. Im sure in a year or two Khan will lose a fight. Does that mean he is done or exposed? No. Those words are thrown around way too much on here.

Im not an obsessive Khan fan its just that he blew me away with his performance in the last two fights. He may get bested in a tough fight soon its just that as of right now I think hes the best in the division.

I dunno'......Have him fight Alexander immediately before he makes enough improvements to his game to be really dangerous to Khan's chin. With that under his belt he'll be able to say he fought a "puncher" (notice the quotation marks, pls). Then he only needs 3 more fights to make 2 years. Say...Katsidis, then give Kotelnik a rematch and then (when he's 38-39) Marquez.

                How's that?

I don't think getting knocked out he'll necessarily means he's exposed. I woudln't be surprised if he boxed off 2 top guys ears off only to get stopped by a third. I'm just curious if people think he will survive the next 2 years in a loaded division w/o getting stopped. Apparently most people don't even think he'll take a challenging fight, but that wasn't the point either.

That's pretty good, although he'd be given hell around here for some of that. Personally I don't think Devon is so bad just b/c he didn't shine against a tricky fighter in Kotelnik. I do however think he was slightly overrated following his uppercut of Urango.
