Upset about how bad Alexander looked on Sat night? Bradley maxed out that arena as small as it may have been with his fans. There wasn't one Abregu fan in the house. HBO is building up Khan and Alexander because they want to make bank off of them. Bradley was on Showtime early on in his career, he had to make it the hard way, Ortiz.......Hispanic = big following already and HBO pumped him up as a star from the gitgo. Khan had a big following in England but had to fight Paulie in NYC just so the fight would sell, he is not a draw here in the states, but HBO is trying to pump him up as a star too.

HBO keeps throwing in Mayweather comments while talking about Alexander to subconsciously instill the idea that Alexander is the next Mayweather....pumping him up as a star. HBO is paying out a bunch of money to create that star image, that goes a long way in gaining fans...that's why he was never going to lose to Kotelnik, no matter what happened in the ring. Even if Kotelnik had dropped Devon, he would have stil lost, a clear KO was needed for Kotelnik to have any chance and even then there would be massive controversy involved.

His style is not fan friendly. The reason why casual fans are turned off on him.

Who heard of Bradley before he beat Witter? That's what I thought...

He just has to keep winning, his time will come, Floyd and Manny weren't always big until they won their way there.

LOL, I know funny stuff. No talent yet he keeps winning all of his fights by shutting the opponents down completely nearly every rd. Dude is humble and gives respect and doesn't have a smack talking trainer to stir stuff up for him like Alexander does.

Selling fights is about drama and controversy...stuff I don't really like personally but that is what sells. It's like songs on the radio, most of them suck like crazy but when the radio station only lets you hear those certain songs like 10 times a day, you start to believe how great the songs are. When HBO shows a boxer and repeatedly talks about how this kid is the next P4P king, people watching start to believe it- it's like "Hey these guys know what they are talking about, they are the experts, so this guy is really good"
People don't really think about it in terms of this guy is an investment for HBO and the commentators are the salesmen giving you the sales pitch.

to be a draw you have to fight a boxing super star or have a country behind you like puerto rico, mexico, england, phillipines, etc.

Oh, I got the impression you might have been an Alexander fan...lol, my bad. I like Khan's skills too but his attitude sucks. I used to be all about Khan but as of late, he thinks he is larger than life.

Floyd after he beat Corrales was ducked by pretty much everyone from 130-135. Why? He was too high a risk NOT ENOUGH MONEY. He was P4P number 2 but was only doing 350k buys until he fought DLH. Manny was doing 300k on a consistent basis sometimes less until he fought DLH. Bradley just needs to fight Floyd when he's about 37 and he will be known world wide.
