Floyd hit prime when Castillo hit him with 196 powerpunches and when he hit Castillo back with only 60 powerpunches.
Is Floyd Mayweather still in his prime??

Mentally??? YES! Physically he is still their but eventually he will start to decline with age, but with his style, he could be around well into his late 30's and still be one of the best active fighters
at 147 he fights smarter and wiser, compared to 135 when he was younger and hungrier and was able to go out and put together great combos and just destroy his opponents
it is really not that many SKILLED fighters today that can out-think Mayweather, I don't think it is ANY that can, the hope most people have is that someone catches him with something early and Knock Him Out before Mayweather makes his adjustments and starts to turn the fight into a Boxing ClinicLast edited by sicko; 08-09-2010, 05:20 PM.Comment

you have to realise that moving up in weight generally makes a fighter slower, regardless of being in your prime. moving up in weight around 20lbs can definitely slow you down when youre his size.
I think overall Mayweather is slightly past his best, but its not much. Even where hes gone down, other parts of his game have risen to compensate. Mayweather has taken it pretty easy his career, so he doesnt have much wear and tear.
I dont think hes quite at his 130 and 135lb days overall, but the drop is so low you may as well ignore it at this present time.Comment

Floyd hasn't been in his prime since he beat Gatti at 140. He wasted his prime years fighting WBC eliminators SMFH. He is still better than everyone else so although he hasn't been in his prime for several years he still whoops ass.Comment
