He's not in his physical prime, theres no doubt about that. His prime was at 130lbs but he's still technically and mentally the best boxer in the game. All boxers evolve, I think as Floyd has got older he's become alot smarter in the ring. But his skills and body are not what they used to be and he will proberbly retire in the next two or three years. Talent and technique only get you so far. No matter how good you were before, sooner or later a guy will come up and take you out.
This happens with all great fighters when they outstay their welcome. But I think Floyd is the kind of guy who will recognise the time to go. Alot of fighters find it hard to do. But the smart, intelligent guys realise when their skills are declining and leave with no regrets. One of my favorite fighters of all time, The great Ricardo "Finito" Lopez is a perfect example.Comment

[QUOTE=Benavidez Mafia;9007329]Nope.
He was in his prime in 130-135. He's slowing down and was not able to carry his power to 147 like he had at the lower weight classes.
Stop judging him from the Mosley. He went toe to toe with Mosley because he wanted to give the fans an entertaining fight and now you guys are saying he has no legs. He can never win with the fans.

Exactly. I think when people hear him say he is in a "no win situation" they just think he is being negative and doesnt want to fight this guy and that guy etc etc.
The reality is that he never gets the deserved credit for his performences. When he easily beat Carlos Baldomir 12 rounds to zero they were claiming that he ran and didnt perform like a great fighter. And then when he stands toe to toe and wins 11 out of 12 rounds against the best welterweight who many felt could knock him out. Then people claim he has lost his legs.
This is why Floyd doesnt care much about the fans anymore. So many people just refuse to give him any credit whatsoever. But I have no doubt that when he does retire people will then realise just how good he was.Comment
