Agree with these posts. BH has over achieved against expectation but he's overated and always has been. Bottom line is that the majority of his fights are boring. Now I'm all for intelligent boxing (floyd can run all he likes, he's got skills) but to clinch and fight dirty on the inside all the time may be seen as some as 'intelligent' boxing but for me it shows a obvious lack of skills.

the Hopkins hate is understandable.....I mean my dude has built his career off UPSETTTING mofos and when a 5-1 underdog takes the favorite to school and then stops him....we Hopkins fans must accept that there will be BITTER fans hatin' on his accomplishments because their dude got UPSET and that makes them UPSET as well....ppl quick to say Tito was a WW but won't say he was UNDEFEATED, THE FAVORITE.....so much the favorite that Tito and Roy was ALREADY talkin' about fighting next.....Hopkins was SUPPOSED to lose....he was SUPPOSED to get KTFO by the younger harder puncher.....he beat the dog **** outta Tito and all the haters can say is that he was the bigger man?!?....come on man, how come the odds didnt take that into consideration before the fight....or why didnt the Tito fans think about that before the fight?!?....I'm confused, a 5-1 underdog prevails and gets bashed for it ....WOW!!!!
They will say the same thing about Floyd when he gives Pacquiao a beating. Oh he was sooooo small even though he knocked out guys even bigger than him.

I fail to see how someone can possibly think that Bernard Hopkins is overrated. He's been p4p for like 15 years.

man , not even 10 years.

and half of those years wasn't even deserving of being top 10 p4p imo.

hence an example of people overrating him.

IMO Bernard is the greatest champion of this era. He fought just about everyone at Middlweight and all those who moved up to challenge him. He also went on to face bigger guys and while it's debatable he lost to Calzaghe (IMO) he sonned Tarver which was great in itself. I like Bernard as a fighter, and there will never be another one like him.

lmmfao...what is so "living legend" about a natural lightheavy who feasted on jr. middles and middles, and lost to anyone who was his size or bigger who had equal talent?

hopkins fans should be taken out to pasture and shot for fear of contaminating the earth with such garbage....

man , middleweight was one of the weakest divisions in boxing during his reign.

even roy jones light heavyweight division was better.

example of how weak middleweight was during hopkins reign.

do you know joppy and holmes reigned as wbc and wba champions alongside bernard for like 4-5 years?

I wouldn't say he "whipped" him, but he beat him pretty decisively that's for sure.
