Replace Kotelnik with Bradley last night...

    What happens?

First off, I'm sure there a ton of Devon threads today, this is the first chance I got to log on today, so sorry to add to them..

Before the fight started I told my girl... Devon is an excellent fighter, especially offensively.. but his defense doesn't impress me at all.

Now Bradley doesn't have exquisite defense either, so let that be clear... but Bradley DOES have excellent head movement, and he at least gives you different looks throughout the fight. On top of the fact he throws more punches, and he doesn't get tired... at ALL. He's an extremely strong fighter, not a one punch knockout artist, but he does have some pop... but his overall strength of body is impressive.

I see Bradley going forward and Devon backpeddling the entire fight. But not Clottey style. Going forward whilst being active. Most notably, not slowing down towards the end of the fight.

Kotelnik could literally not miss a punch last night.

Whether he threw a jab, a right hand, a hook, a body jab.. .literally EVERYTHING he threw... landed.

If Kotelnik was 10% better, I think he would have won. Devon won purely based on punch output... MOST OF WHICH, did not even land. All outside shots that landed on gloves or didn't even make it to the gloves.

Now I hear a lot of Devon fans saying things like anyone can have a bad night. I agree. Anyone can. However, he has shown the lack of defense and head movement even before.

Even in the Urango fight... most people forget how the fight was going because Devon stopped Urango, and people don't want to think about the fight other than Devon stopped Urango.

I personally felt had Devon not caught Urango with those two clean knockdwon shots, that... that fight was starting to turn into urangos favor... he was getting closer and closer with his shots and his pressure was reigning in on Devon, even by round 4..

Anyways... Replace Kotelnik with Bradley last night... give me your thoughts...

Alexander beats him. Bradley fights NOTHING like Kotelnik. He doesnt have his size, timing, accuracy or defense.

Styles make fights. Just because Kotelnik had some sucess doesnt mean Bradley will.

Alexander gets stopped. Bradley is far from the best finisher, but Alexander was so easy to hit Bradley would have stopped him.

And you're right, Alexander has always been that easy to hit, and is predictable on offense.

Bradley would have probably TKO'd him.

Kinda hard to call at this point especially since they both lost all their shine in their last 2 fights.

Alexander shouldn't even by champ right now.

If I had to pick I'd go with Alexander by k.o.

                Right.

                Kotelnik already beat him.

Thats you pick. I have mine. People doing back flips because of what Kotelnik did without realizing that Bradley fights NOTHING like that.

Are we forgetting how ****ty Bradley looked vs. Abregu?? People jump the gun too quick. Just because Kotelnik presented some problems doesnt mean Bradley can do the same.

Are we forgetting... I've already seen them same problems against Urango.

He's an excellent offensive fighter, but he gets hit with everything thrown at him.

He certainly didn't look as ****ty as Devon last night... he completely dominated Abregu... and wait for it.

At welterweight.... not even worth mentioning that fight.

And just because Kotelnik AND Urango presented problems doesn't mean Bradley can? It sure as hell doesn't mean he can't either.
