Margarito IN HIS Prime would never get dominated by a Kotelnik.

Don't take every mildly critical comment about Margarito to heart. I was a supporter until the cheat controversy put a question mark over his career. Now I'm not sure how to appraise him exactly, he's a study in boxing contradiction in my eyes at this point.

Alexander had a high workrate in there, too. I said the cases were somewhat comparable, and they are...Margarito didn't look great however much he threw, period.

El Cabron got what I was saying when he stated,

"even though I think Tony looked better vs Clottey than Devon vs Kotelnik but it wasn't by any means a dominating performance"

What's the moral of the thread? Margarito >>> Alexander? Kind of irrelevant, no?

You set this whole dumb argument up, man, not me.
I'm not sensitive, I'm just replying to your comment that's all.

      Exactly.

It's just an absurd premise for a thread.

Might as well just start a thread to boost your fav fighter every time some Top 3 guy from another division has a hard fight against a guy who wasn't highly thought of...who was quite probably underestimated, anyway.

Like I said, y'know, just maybe Kotelnik was a little slept-on re. his "caliber" coming into the fight? Worth a thought.

IMO thread should be locked, no incentive/purpose for discussion here just an absurd OP.

Yeah, with a degree of pique or indignation at the suggestion that Tony looked anything less than Gold against Clottey.

            Margarito isn't my favorite fighter.

Slept on is an excuse. I could say the same thing about Margarito probably slept on Mosley since he fought like crap vs Mayorga. Just doesn't work man.

He still won it though, considering the fact that he had like over 8 - 10 months inactivity. Unlike Alexander.

I wasn't using that as an excuse for Alexander.

I was referring to your specific appraisal of Kotelnik's "caliber". Get me? I wasn't offering it as a reason for why Alexander didn't look so great last night in the least. Slow down, comprehend, relax.

It's a somewhat comparable case is all I said, which it is - and you jumped on that with a fit of pique/indignation that anyone would have the temerity to suggest Tony looked less than stellar against Clottey. That = sensitivity, which is why I called you sensitive.

You know that some people think Clottey won that fight, too, right? Not everyone is in perfect agreement with you. I'm not saying I'm one of those people, BTW...I'm just sayin'.

Well you made it seem that way. At least to me.

Nothing sensitive about me. If I was sensitive I wouldn't of made a thread about it. Knowing it will get responses. lol
