Yeah, you're right. Pac did announce he was on vacation and was not thinking about fighting again this year.

If Pac is saying stuff like this, it mean one of three things:

1. He is being told to press the PR advantage since Mayweather is looking bad right now.

2. He really, really wants this fight.

3. Both of the above statements are true.

Maybe he(or Arum) thinks that Golden Boy/Al Haymon is the reason the fight didn't happen and Floyd might be going to King to make it happen.

Again, this is all assuming Floyd is even considering signing with Don King, which he has said nothing about.
