Lederman: "You win fights by ring generalship so I have Alexander winning clearly"

During the fight Lederman said that Alexander had the better ring generalship. , does he even know what that means?! Kotelnik clearly controlled the fight, especially the 2nd half. I did have Alexander winning by the way, 115-113. But I could also see it the other way around.

When Amir dominated Kotelnik, the Americans downgraded the win and called Kotelnik a typical European bum. I wonder what they think of Kotelnik now after Alexander struggled with him.

There were rounds when Devon Alexander was getting hammered with everything but managed to rattle off five's and six's at Kotelnik's gloves. I guess in a way for those moments Kotelnik is handcuffed but I would not call that winning. That's not winning.

True. Kotelnik was more effective and his punches landed more clearly. Still I feel like Alexander did just enough to get away with the win. It was a very close fight. I feel like that if Kotelnik did a little more in the early rounds, especially round 2 that he would have won the fight.

I'd like to see how that judges called round 2.

They should show that round to prospective judges. If they scored it for Alexander I don't think they should be judges.

i thought lederman was way off last night and i don't think i have disagreed with him

kotelnik clearly out boxed alexander just because alexander threw more punches means nothing he was being hit with the cleaner more effective shots which is supposed to win you rounds in harold's book

my question is how in the judges eyes was kotelnik supposed to win the fight. alexander was bound to outwork him he is the younger fighter after all but kotlenik landed at a higher rate and as he doesn't throw a heap of punches he has to make sure his defense is tight which it was

aside from throwing a thousand punches or knocking him out i don't know what they were looking for

he's not a big puncher so he has to make sure that he lands shots then doesn't get hit which is what he did

sorry but lederman can go and **** himself with that scorecard

he ****ed up the cloud johnson one aswell i think he's daughter has become a better judge then him his eyesight may be going might be time to call it a day

merchant would've called it a robbery i'm sure

kotelnik boxed his ass of he deserved to take the belts

OK thats your opinion but no way in hell any of us can argue and say im right and he's wrong.. theyre boxing judges for gods sake he said it depends what the judges prefer: being busy or more accurate. and in no way was that a robbery. kotelnik would have needed to dominate the fight for it to be called a robbery..

Agree 100%. I am not an Alexander fan and always said he was overrated, and said that Bradley would beat him. But to say a guy like Kotelnik was robbed is BS. There were atleast 6 rounds that Alexander won, and that means at worst Alexander had a draw. Alexander is the champ, Kotelnik didn't press the action until the second half. THere were two rounds that i went to the kitchen for drinks, so maybe i can re watch it and score the fight, as i have it on DVR anyway.

I don't know how people act like Alexander was detroyed he never was hurt or even knock down once in the fight. But i am glad that the Alexander hype train will slow down, he is not the best at 140. This is what his fans think and pretend that Bradley is ducking him. We will see if he fights Bradley now.

What was odd was my scorecard was close on the Johnson Cloud fight but Lederman lost me on the Alexander match totally. Guess Harold is a big Alexander fan.
